I am a 44 year old woman who after 25 years gets pregnant when I was starting the life change. I have a gyno but need a obstetrician now since he no longer does that. I am high risk because of my age and health. Can anyone recommend?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I started to see Dr Chandra of Virtua Vorhees. He came highly recommended from a friend so I figured I would give him a try. I met with him twice and started having lots of test. He is very thorough. I believe the one response for the Vorhees group may have been for Dr Librizzi. I did speak to someone at his office and told them I started seeing Chandra and their advice was he is a good doctor and give it a chance if I am not happy after a few visits call them back. So we shall see. Thanks to everyone who responded.

I was high risk also but my gynocologist recommended me to a ob/gyn. I do not know where you live but if you live in gloucester county go to Dr. Elias Nemeh he is off of Fries Mill Rd. In Turnersville. I love that man and he is very nice, caring and has a wonderful bedside manner. I loved going for my checkups when i was pregnant. I had a good delivery also. He is wonderful.

Again, don't know where you are located but Thomas O'Malley who practices at St. Mary's in Langhorne, but I think he has other offices as well. He is in a group that specializes in high risk maternity patients. It may be the same group that was mentioned in an earlier post. But he is wonderful, I was so sad when he left my OB practice.

Hi H.,
Congrats!!! I am also a high risk pregnancy. My OBGYN is the Woman's Group in Voorhees, NJ. They have recommended me to Penn Medicine of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Network. They are my high risk doctors also in Voorhees. 1-877-894-0287. Good Luck.

Don't know where you're located but I go to Dr. Sliwinski at Bucks County OB/GYN on Floral Vale Blvd. in Yardley. Another place I'd recommend is Women's Health Associates of Bucks County. They have an office on the St. Mary Medical Center campus and in Richboro. Dr. DeFilippis is a friend of mine and I've heard nothing but good things from people I know who go there. That office is currently working together with my OB's office for weekends and emergencies, too. Below is a link for Women's Health Associates. My OB doesn't have a web page.
