Hello,Hoping to get some advice.:)
I just found out I am pregnant. Ive had two miscarriages in the last two years...We dont have health insurance, due to it being 800.00 a month for us thru my husbands job. We surely do not qualify for assistance. I looked into some health insurance plans, but they dont offer maternity. I need to do something fast, and see a doctor.I called a few drs,and my first visit is going to run 200-300.00 with labs,etc...which is not affordable to us right now.Any help would be greatly appreciated!:):)

What can I do next?

Maybe local pregnancy resource center would know where to refer you. They could at least get you in for an initial visit. Try Woman to Woman pregnancy resource center in Denton dentonprc.org or ###-###-####.
If the reason you had miscarriages was because of low progesterone levels (which is why I had one), you'll need to get a prescription for progesterone ASAP. It's worth full price at an OB for that first visit. I use Dr. Tovar at North Texas OBGYN Associates in Lewisville. Any of the docs or the nurse practitioner in that office are great. Just tell them your situation and your history of miscarriage and they should get you in right away.
Good luck!

I just had a baby and had no health insurance coverage either. We do have Unicare for Medical, but they do not cover Maternity. Our health ins. is costing us about $350 a month for two kids and my husband and myself.
My Dr.s office worked out a monthy payment plan for me. The Dr.s total charge was $2400 and he put me on monthly installments. The Hospital was not easy to deal with. I had my daughter at Denton Regional at its $2800 prepay for a vaginal delivery. The anethesiologist is about $1500 if you pre=pay. There is no way to get around this. We had to put this on credit cards, which I did not want to do. Its not good, and I tried to find options, but I had no luck.
I hope your pregnancy goes well!
