You could go a year or longer with out a period, depending on how long you breast feed. Breastfeeding is a form of birth control in it's self but it's not 100%. I would wait for other symptoms before rushing out for a pregnancy test. Or if you think you may have concieved on the 2nd, then if you still think you are go buy a test (at the Dollar Store) on January 2nd. You'd be four weeks by that time and would have already missed a period (if you were to have one.)

A pregnancy test should come back positive (if you're pregnant) about 2 weeks after conception. If you go by the 'standard' 28 day cycle: day 1 is the first day of your period, day 14 is when conception occurs, day 29 is when your next period would start.

I'd wait a solid 2-3 weeks and then test. Exclusively breastfeeding for the first 6 months *can* be a decent form of birth control, but if you're not wanting to get pregnant just yet you should use a back-up - ESPECIALLY once you start your baby on solids!

If you are wanting to get pregnant now, then best of luck to you :)

Yikes my sister got pregnant while breastfeeding, her baby was 5 months old and she didn't find out she was preggers until three months later! she was almost 16 weeks pregnant with her second! so you may very well be pregnant, test on the 15th and you shoud get a positive if you are.
if you aren't and don't want to be pregnant use contraceptive because breastfeeding alone is not a good method, if you are then congrats!

It takes two weeks for conception from the time you had unprotected sex.Are you wanting to get pregnant,my thoughts that it is too soon to become pregnant again but it does happen many women become prego after the go ahead from their OBs & lots before the go ahead.
Wait 2 weeks then test the day after the 2 weeks of no period has come yet & restest again after a few days if neg.& you think you might still be then get a blood test to know for sure.
Are you on any BC?Brestfeeding is a form like the other post said.I went without a period almost the entire time I breastfeed my 3rd didn't happen with my other 2.

Breastfeeding is not an effective form of birth control! It's unclear as to whether or not you are/were trying to get pregnant, but if you're not, please use a different, more reliable, form of BC. Speak with your OB and do something. If you were trying then good luck, I surely wouldn't want babies THAT close together! Wait at least 2 weeks to take a test.

I'd wait four weeks or so and then test with first morning urine. That should be an accurate test at that point. If you test earlier, then you will probably just want to re-test anyway. That is what always happens to me!!
