My family has been through a tough time lately and we really need some prayers. There are anger, drug, depression, and unforgiveness issues right now. I don't really know what to do right now. Where to go and that sort of thing. I am at that point to where I feel helpless and hopeless. Please pray for all of us. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Father,
Please be with R. right now. You know the details of her life and she is broken and needing you. She has asked us to pray for her, so we lift her up knowing you hear us. Just as we love our children, Father, you love her more, than she can imagine. I pray for her to have peace, courage, love and to seek your ways Father. You promise us you will never leave us, help her to know she is never alone. You have great plans for her, (Jeremiah 29:11) plans to comfort her, not harm her, plans for a hope and a future. You loved her so much that you gave your only son to die for her (John 3:16) so that she can have eternal life. Our hope is in you, Lord. I pray you would lead R., Father, wrap your arms around her, make her paths clear and heal her family.

In your Son's precious name,
Amen!

I will add you to my prayer list. I would highly recommend a program called Celebrate Recovery. It is a faith based 12 step program and is available at several churches around the area. You can find a church near you on their website. www.celebraterecovery.com My husband and I both attend the one at our church and it has helped us both so much. We had some similar issues.
You will definitely be in my prayers.

Praying for you, R.! You are wise to ask for help and prayers. Girl, I pray you are feeling uplifted today!!!! I pray you feel God's presence and peace. He makes sure even the sparrows get enough to eat and He watches when the doe gives birth (Job 39). Girl, if He cares about animals so much that He takes pleasure in caring for them, I just KNOW He cares about you and your family! Oh, I pray for peace for you as you go through this.

We are at First Baptist McKinney. Love the church and pastor. Love that it is a welcoming place with non-judgmental people. If you're close by, would love to meet up with you. If not, I hope you will find an outlet where you can meet people who will lift you up and encourage you with truth. Bless you!!!

The prayers are going up. Now the next step for you is to chose not to feel this way. I know I sound glib, but having felt the way you do I know that this is important. Keep your chin up.

R., I will pray for you and your family. Going to God is always the best first step, and I'll pray that He will lead you to the next. If you have a church home or Christian friends, reach out to them and allow God to help you through them. Know that you will get through this, and you are not alone.

I'll be glad to pray for your family. I will also tell you that our church has a wonderful moms group. You'll find more support than you can imagine. Mckinney Fellowship Bible Church
mcfbc.com
there are also support groups there for recovery from everything
I'd also say don't be ashamed to tell your doctor about the depression and get medication. I did. I just couldn't pray it away.
I hope your heart and mind heal soon!!

Rachael - I strongly recommend finding a Celebrate Recovery Program in your area. I know how you feel right now I have experienced what you are describing. We are not however hopeless with Christ. His desire is to HEAL us, DELIVER us and give us NEW LIFE. I tried secular programs, counselors, etc (I felt like I should have at least got a t-shirt!) but nothing worked until I got into Celebrate Recovery. What a blessing- what a difference! It has almost been 4 years and I'm not going back! This program can help heal all those involved and is as much for you as it is for your husband - sometimes you have to lead the way! Blessings to you and your family!

Please add my prayers to everyone else's! I see you have received a few suggestions for churches, and maybe one of those will also help. However, if that is not an option for any reason (or you are looking for something more intensive) I can HIGHLY recommend a program called Pathways. I'm in one of the helping professions, and Pathways is simply the most effective program I've ever encountered. I have seen it change hearts, lives, and families. They have scholarship money available if you're unable to afford the full cost. www.createagreatlife.org.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope that you find peace soon. Hugs to you and your family.

R.,
I pray that you have some healing your way. Just know that God does love you and will take care of you. I think that talking with friends or family or somebody from church can be very helpful. This will pass and things will get better...know that! I attend The Village Church in Flower Mound (they have a Denton and Dallas campus as well) and they have a Recovery Program that is amazing. I know there are other churches that have these as well. You really need some Godly people in your life to know that you are human and these crazy things in our lives happen. Just to have somebody to listen to you or guide you or hold you accountable can be a wonderful feeling. I pray that you understand how much God really does love you and that you can be forgiven. I hope that all these messages help you to get on the right path and find your real self worth!

God Bless,
H. Meece

Hi R.,
May God's love, that always surrounds you, become overwhelmingly felt by you, and lead you to help. Please take strength from the prayers of Mamasource writers and take a step in your own best interest. It could be a clergy member, a counselor, even an afternoon off by yourself to make a decision. You are an adult and you are capable and you are important. And obviously from all these emails, you are loved!

I'm definitely praying. I don't know if you're at a place in life that you get this right now, but I've realized that the tough stuff God brings you to is for a purpose and that He will bring you through it. He won't put anything on you that you can't bear. You can come out on the other side of this with more peace, more faith, more hope... just turn it over to him and praise Him through it. I pray He shows himself more real to you now that ever before. If you want to talk, I'm here... ###-###-####. (((HUGS)))

My family will pray for family's strength to endure all your tribulations. We will pray for your peace of mind, and the ability to overcome.

We believe that Heavenly Father does not give us anything we cannot handel, and if we seek him we will find a way.
It's how you handle your afflictions and what you learn from it that will help you in the future and make you a better and stronger person.

I know from personal experience that prayer does work. I've been in very bad situations, adn have had a problem with alchohol. No program worked for me, no church group either. What did was prayre, and fasting, and reading my scriptures, pondering the verses I read, really searching for a way to overcoem wiht my whole heart put into it. I prayed for friends who cared, for the strenghth to get through a day, for teh desire to get up in teh morning, and many more things. eventually things turned around, and 8 years later I have a wonderful family, my kids are happy and attend a great school, I married my soulmate, adn I couldn't ask for more.

Because I have a testimony of prayer, I will most definitally pray for you family when ever I say my own prayers. I know all these wonderful moms on this site are praying for you as well, and its so heart warming to see so many mother who would care for a stranger!

Blessing to all of you :)

It sounds like you are already doing what you can - leaning on Him! God wants us to seek Him so keep doing it and you will find clarity. Just remember it's not always the path you think it should be. Keep your chin up and count your blessings!
