I was wondering what kind of postpartum support has worked for you? My OB wants me to get some kind of support band for after I deliver, I have a very slight hernia above my navel and she a good binder might help those muscles heal and prevent me from needing surgery later on. I've tried some of the velcro kinds at the maternity stores but they don't seem to come up high enough. With my first pregnancy, it took forever for my stomach to shrink back down, and I had to buy the high waisted mom jeans to hold in the extra skin! Should I just wait and buy a regular non-pregnancy binder after this baby is born?

I used it after my last birth and it worked wonders. I'm using it now and it seems to be doing really well. I'm no size 2...then again, I haven't been a size 2 since high school, lol! I figure I'll be back into my 10s by next weekend though. I'm wearing a 12 right now.

I was given something in the hospital after my 4th c-section, I think it was a binder because it wrapped around from right beneath my chest to the bottom of my stomach. I noticed a big difference with my stomach going back to size after that birth and wished I would have used one with the others!!
I used a belly bandit with my 3rd and there was a noticeable difference post partum in comparison to my 2nd. It is the velcro kind, but it went from my hips/pubic bone up to my bra strap.

ive never tried the above, but the reviews on it are great. im going to try it out.
also, they have the kymaro at walmart. I got it after having my baby. the only thing with that is to make sure you get it a size bigger than you are because otherwise it rolls up and gets annoying. if its a size bigger, its really comfortable and still works great. it also helps smooth you out in the back too.
I wore an abdominal binder right after my hysterectomy about 9 yrs ago and I never got the swelly belly, or belly issues. I wore it faithfully.
I didn't have an issue after daughter was born at all. I was back in the skinny jeans in 2 weeks.
I loved the binder because I was terrified of not having my flat belly after all the horror stories I heard but with exercise and the binder.... I still in size 2!!
