HI all-
I am a "new" stay-at-home mom0 I recently had my second boy (2 months old) and am taking a year out of teaching- after 10 years!- to care for my newborn and his 2 year old (very active) brother. My 2 year old was recently diagnosed with an expressive speech delay as well. We are looking for a playgroup while waiting for Early Intervention services to start. Being with other children (and adults!) would benefit us all! If anyone cold give me some info about groups in the area- Merrimack Valley- I'd appreciate it.

What can I do next?

I belong to a great Merrimack Valley/Southern NH mom's group called Modern Mommyz. Here's a link to their website.

Hi E.,

Check out the Steppingstones therapy center. They have groups for moms/kids, play groups and other activities designed to help kiddos just like yours! Her prices are really reasonable.
check out www.sstcinc.net to see what's going on there right now!

Good luck.

Hi E.,

I would suggest to you themotherconnection.org it is based in Andover, but has members all over the Merrimack Valley. It is a fully volunteer based organization with almost 1000 members. It provides a monthly newsletter, playgroup linkups, meetups, adventures and mom/child workshops. It is also a great way to volunteer and keep your mind active.

Good luck with your transition!!

H. Z. (SAHM 5, 4 and 16 month old boys)
