Pediatricians

My two girls go the Lakeside Pediatrics. They have an office on the northside (near Tigertown) and the southside (near Ale House). All of the doctors and nurse practicioners are great and I know a lot of people who take their kids there. You will probably want a ped close to home in the beginning since you may be there every week or so for the first month or two. I'm not sure what to tell you about when you go back to work. It would stink to have to switch doctors so maybe you should find an office that is open on Saturdays or evenings.

As for laudry detergent, you don't need to buy the kind specially for babies but I do recommend fragrance free or dye free. I use All Free and Clear. Babies have such sensitive skin. I also recommend buying baby bath products and diaper wipes that are fragrance free. The ones with special scents are only for your nose anyway.

I use Clark & Daughtery & I LOVE Dr. Sandoval!!! I have a little girl (3 in two weeks) and another on the way.. when I my daughter was born (in Las Vegas) we went to 2 different doctors and I wasn't crazy about either. As soon as I moved here (my daughter was 4 months) I was referred to Dr. Sandoval and I wouldn't go to another.. Also, the girls in the office are very friendly and helpful, especially under stressful conditions (as we all have as new mommies).

Congratulations on your baby. Is your baby going to be in a day care in Clerwater? If so it will be easy for you to find a doctor there. But if your baby is going to be here in Lakeland, there are two great places to take your baby to a Pediatrician: Watson Clinic or Lakeside Pediatrics.

Usually your baby has a first shot in the hospital. After you and your baby are discharged from the hospital you need to see a pediatrician (two days after being dischared from the hospital) to see how the baby is doing. Just to let you know every baby is different responding to a shot but just have Infant Tylenol and don't forget to ask how much dosage your baby neeeds.

I have three kids and I used the baby detergent until they were 18 months old. The baby detergent is gentle on their skin. You never know if they are allergic to the regular detergent. Its also great removing the formula smell and throw up smell. I will recommend the baby detergent.

We use Dr. Leviten with Lakeside Ped. They have an office on the northside and southside. I have seen most of the doctors and PA's and really like them all. You can schedule an "interview" with them free of charge. When my husband and I went, I had a bunch of questions that he answered.
As far as the detergent, Dreft is probably your best bet. I used it on my little girls' clothes until she was 5 months and then started washing her clothes with ours in Tide. She does not have extra sensitive skin like some babies that is why I started using Tide on her clothes around 5 months.
One of the best gifts I received as a new mom was a sleep sack. This is a blanket that zips up and keeps the baby warm at night. target and Babies R us carry them. Good Luck and congratulations on your new bundle of joy :) T.

Well first of all Congratulations. We go to the watson clinic to see Dr. Jason Cornett. I love him. My son does too. They are next to the LRMC. I think male-female your personal preference. I moved from kissimmee where we had a female. I like either but the most important thing is you feel good about your care for the child. This too is a long term relationship.

As far as your detergent ? Publix carries a HE free clear detergent. I have been in Dermatology for years and it is one we recommed. I use it myself.
