So What Happened?

ROFL... Okay, just for Jo... We'll have a bragging rights contest for youngest & oldest. Although I theenk you're gonna lose, Jo. We usually have a couple of teen moms on the board.

<laughing> That reminds me: Teenmom! You know I thought you were the wisest/most down to earth 16yo I'd ce across in a long time for over a year??? Oh. Wait. Your KIDS are teens. Face. Palm.

:D
PB = PiggyBack
Or PeanutButter (sticky q), Paranormal Boxing, Probably Backwards, Perfect Boy, Pertussis Booster, PixieBot. Ooh. I like PixieBot.

__________

@ Laura... :) Probably!

What I go off of:

Statwise:
- My good friend B works in Swedish Admin. One thing the chart is maternal age. Over 2/3s of first time moms are in their early 40s.
Lol... Another fun one they track is power outages & "snow storms" (1st snowflake freakout counts)... Since their maternity ward will be over capacity 40 weeks later!
Anecdotally
- My sons 1st elementary I was on of 2 moms in her 20s. There were less than 10 in their 30s. The majority were late 40s & early 50s. Out of over 500 students.
- My sons 2nd elementary is slightly younger. There's probably 50 of us in our 30s, and 20 more in their 20s. Still out of 500 students.

The northend & southend both tend to have younger families (I loooooved living in Bothell & MLT back when), but even there... As a region we tend to be older in general. It lines up with the % of college grads. 20's for BA/MA/Phd or MD, 30's for carreer & marriage, 40's for family.

LOL, I thought the same thing about "Teenmom!"

Baby 1: 25
Baby 2: 27
Baby 3: 29
Baby 4: will be 31 when I deliver, 1 month before 32

My mom had me when she was 32, and I was her 3rd pregnancy. She ended up having 9 pregnancies, but 4 miscarriages, so a total of 5 living children. I'm kinda out-pacing her, but I think I will probably end up with only 4 since this'll be my 4th c-section.

I was married just before my 25th birthday. My first child was born when I was 28. That seemed older, compared to many of my peers, but it really wasn't too far off. My other children were born when I was 30, 32, and 33.

My parents met as the Great Depression was beginning and couldn't afford to marry for about ten years. She became a mother for the first time when she was almost 39 and my dad was celebrating his 40th birthday (my older sister was his birthday present).
