PB : How Old Were You When You Became a Mom?

I was 23 when i made another family parents ( my son who i gave up for adoption)
i was 31 and 34 when i got to be a mommy :)

39 - Married at 30. Waited for the "right time". Honestly, there really is no "right time". I wish we'd started earlier, perhaps we'd have more than one. But I'm loving being a mommy to my boy :)

11 yrs old, when I was forced to raise my siblings, from diapering, bottle feeding, potty training, bathing, clothing, everything but earn an income.

Thought I was pregnant last year at 51 - yikes.

17 ...Married when i was 18. Still married to the same man. My daughter is 29 this year.

Known my husband since we were 13.
Married at 20.
Had our daughter 3 days before I turned 30..

It was completely planned on when we were ready..
FYI, we really were ready..

My kids recently told me they want more kids!

My Hubby wouldn't mind, he says I have no problem getting pregnant.

Really I have four amazing kids so I do win but then so does everyone else.

27. Kind of scary, took my biological niece in with 5 minutes notice. I didn't have all the planning involved.

32. I started dating my husband when I was 17. We married when I was 25. First baby at 32, second baby at 35.

Married for 8 years first. Had fun, traveled, partied, worked the kinks out, finished our schooling, bought a house, then we were ready.

I met my husband when I was 17
We married after we finished college and had jobs (27)
and we had our son when I was 36.

Well considering I only admit to being 29 I had my first child 8 yrs before I was born LOL!!!!!!!

I was 20 -- my oldest is 37 girl -- 35 boy -- 26 girl -- 21 boy.

Almost the same as Sherri G-starting dating senior year of high school, married at 25 and first baby at 32-second at 33 :) Still married.

And this from a girl who said she never wanted kids-oh well.

LOL, I thought the same thing about "Teenmom!"

My mom had me when she was 32, and I was her 3rd pregnancy. She ended up having 9 pregnancies, but 4 miscarriages, so a total of 5 living children. I'm kinda out-pacing her, but I think I will probably end up with only 4 since this'll be my 4th c-section.

I had my first at 29 (in April)...turned 20 that August.

I felt so immature....but overflowing with love and time to offer our son....and the future children that were to come.

Married DH at 26 and he had primary custody of his children, then 8 and 13. Had DD just past my 31st birthday.

I got married at 25. We had bought a place, my husband had a good enough job to allow me to stay home, we had some time to ourselves before adding children.
I was even older for my other 2 LOL

28. I was in 7th grade when I first remember saying I was going to get married when I was 26 and have my first child (a girl) at 28. That is exactly what happened:).

I had just turned 24 when I had my son and 29 when my daughter.

My one daughter was born when I was 24. It was the exact right age for me; old enough to know how I wanted to parent, young enough for the needed energy.

Daughter just turned 42 and has a 7yo son. It's sometimes hard to believe. Her baby years still seem so recent! But I never was any good at tracking the passage of time…

20 with the first ....yep...young....

30's with my boys....

NO MORE for me. Losing two in one year was enough - especially at 20/22 weeks....total of 3 lost. nope. no more for me.

I was engaged when I was 29, married at 30, and had my daughter when I was 32. She is my only and is now 13.

19 with my first. I'll be almost 37 when my second arrives.

Well, I started dating my now husband when I was 20 and his daughter was 3 months old :) I officially become her step-mom 1 month after I turned 28.

I gave birth to my boys: 2 months shy of 30 and 1 month shy of 34.

26. It was the perfect age for me.

I turned 19 a month after my son was born, so technically 18.

#1 @ 17.......together with father for 7 years; I left him when she was 3.....he just couldn't hold down a job, and still has a hard time holding down a job.

I was married just before my 25th birthday. My first child was born when I was 28. That seemed older, compared to many of my peers, but it really wasn't too far off. My other children were born when I was 30, 32, and 33.

My parents met as the Great Depression was beginning and couldn't afford to marry for about ten years. She became a mother for the first time when she was almost 39 and my dad was celebrating his 40th birthday (my older sister was his birthday present).

R., maybe in your area of Seattle it's 40's? Most people on my side of the water are closer to mid/late 20's. :)

~Just FYI: I hold the record for being the 'Oldest Mom' out of all the girls/women on both sides (Mom & Dad's) of my family...I got SO much slack for being an 'Old Mom'....most had their first born at 18 and their 2nd at 20....and I am 1 of 2 in my generation that had more than 2 kids! Sheesh!

I was 18 with my first (daugher) almost 19 and than 19 with my second (son) almost 20.

I was 24 with the first and 27 with the second. In my area it seems like the moms were either really young (as in had their first child at 16) or older (as in had their first child at 39). I'm floating alone with the mid-twenties child birthing age.

I was 19.5, we had number two 3 years later, and number three 3 years after that.

36, had second at 38, and will turn 41 a month after I have my third.
