The favorite gifts we received when my children were baptised were savings bonds and portrait gift certificates.

You may be looking for more of a "Spiritual" gift, but in general a great baby gift is a share of Stock (like Disney or some other stock associated with kids products). I know of a gal that had her college paid for because for any major milestones, her grandparents had the vision to buy Procter & Gamble stock in the days when it was at a very low price. I wish someone had done that for me!

My Goddaughter LOVED playing with her stacking cubes. They are bible based nesting cubes. She is 5 and still plays with them. My favorite gift is a little pin, I call it a Baptismal pin. I got one for each of my kids and get one for special friends. They wear it at the baptism, and any special future occasion. I am hoping that my daughter can have it for her "something old" on her wedding day. You could also get any kind of water toy, as baptism reminds us of the waters we are washed clean with (like Noah's Ark Little People set, bath toys, etc.). My son also loves to play with his wooden rosary beads, they are big and clunky. If you are Catholic, www.catholicchild.com is one of my favorite sigths to get stuff like this. Really, just taking lots of great pictures and putting them in a special album will be great. Get each boy seperate, laid out on a blanket or sitting on a blanket in the carseat. Pose them and take lots of pics, you will be happy later! Good luck!

We bought savings bonds and a book of children's bible stories for our nephews. They did the same for us and our kids still enjoy reading the bible story book and some day I'm sure they'll love the savings bonds.
