I am thinking of moving to the Salt Lake Area and am in great need of a great OB Doctor. So mommies if you loved your doctor, or know of any really good doctors who are very reliable and dependable. PLEASE help me out, cause I am having a hard time leaving the doctor I have now, and just need to know there are other amazing doctors out there.

I love my OB. His name is Richard Irion. I always feel comfortable in his care and he is funny and kind. I have only had c-sections, but his care and willingness to try for VBAC made him a winner in my book.

I loved my Dr., Jeffery Quinn at Western OBGYN. We always had to wait to get to see him, but if you know this going in it makes it better. I had to make my appointments in the afternoon so my husband could come so if you made them in the morning, it might not be as bad. I always called to see if they were running on time or not. Once you are in there though, he takes his time and really listens and talks to you as a person and not just a patient. You can then understand a little why he is behind some days. The office staff is very friendly and helpful too. They let you know if you are going to be seen or if you might need to reschedule. I had total faith and trust in him and I have two beautiful children now. If anyone asks, I always will whole-heartedly recommend him anyday. I hope this helps.

Dr Scott Hansen is about the best I could have asked for. He is everything you want in terms of listening to what is important to you, putting your baby first and taking amazing care of you after delivery. He only delivers at Jordan Valley Hospital which is not the closest in the area but I'm paying for private health insurance just to ensure I can still see him! Well worth meeting him!

You should check out South Valley Womens Health Care. My doctor is there and several of my friends go to doctors in this practice. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Of course it will depend on where you will be living they are located at Jordan Valley Hospital off of 9000 s and Bangerter.

I also see Dr. Jeffrey Quinn at Western OBGYN. He really cares about you and any concerns you might have. He is never in a rush to see his patients. He gets really busy and sometimes behind but well worth it. Sometimes I have had to reschedule and decdided to see his nurse practioner (Tina Goldsmith) and she is really good. He does have a really nice staff and they try to make you as comfortable as you can. Good luck in trying to make your decision.

I can't say enough good things about my OB. When you deliver a baby, you seriously want this guy there for you. He is a great doctor with great bedside manner and as my last labor nurse put it, he has "magic hands." As a result, I - a petite girl - have had 3 large babies (one almost 9 lbs) with no rips or snips. In fact all of my friends that I have sent to him (about 7 of them) swear by him & after multiple deliveries each, only one of them had to have a very small episiotomy - and he apologized profusely for not being able to get around it. In addition, every other medical person I have ever talked to that knows him has said he is the best there is for surgeries, c-sections & deliveries. I've had 2 surgeries with him and I have the tiniest scars you've ever seen. If that kind of doctor appeals to you, send me a message & I'll send you his name & number.
