I HIGHLY recommend Dr Micheal Sonenblum. He was in the hospital when my daughter was born. (she is 10 now) I went through a couple of pedetritians with my son (12)when we first moved here. Dr Sonenblum was with westside pediatrics, think he is with pediatric assoc now. GOOD LUCK

Dr. Cadiz in coconut Creek is excellent. You can alway see Dr. Cotler if Cadiz is not available, they are the best in that practice. Not to mention they are open 365 days/7 days a week/until 9pm Monday-Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.

One of the things I like is that they open on a Saturday so if you are a working mom you won't have to miss work.

What makes a great pediatrician in your eyes? Why do you need a new one? Everyone thinks theirs is the best. That is why they choose to take their kids to them. I personally think that any pediatrician that vaccinates, advocates flouride as a part of nutrition, etc. is not a pediatrician that has your child's best interest in mind. Only their pocketbooks. That is why I see a naturopath at Florida Natural Healthcare in Cooper City on Stirling Road and Nob Hill. They have a website. Be sure you educate before you neglect to vaccinate so you can be sure that your son will have the best start in life!

L. - Hands down I'd recommend Dr. Leon - NW Broward Pediatrics. He's on the corner of Atlantic and 441. He has the best way with the kids and makes you feel like family he hasn't seen in awhile. He will spend as much time as needed, never makes the appointment feel rushed or hurried, and answers questions for you that you wouldnt even ask. Try not to be put off by the run-down appearance of the office (it's in need of much updating). And it's not uncommon to wait 15 minutes past your appointment time before being called back. With these 2 things aside, if you can not judge the book by its cover and can practice a little bit of patience, I think you'll find him the keeper. I know several people that won't go anywhere else!

I also live in Ft.Lauderdale, but i drive to Boca (right of 95, by the mall) to Boca Pediatrics. It is a practice w/ about 8 doctors...the head pediatrician, Dr.Luchtan, was my pediatrician 25 years ago!

You should try Dr. Morrison's office. There are only 3 drs' who are all EXCELLENT! they probaly are the only drs who actually personally rspond to their pagers, never too long of a wait and the ENTIRE staff (front desk, nurses, drs') are AMAZING! ###-###-#### THEY ARE IN PLANTATION

Dr. Lwin is an excellent doctor who is great with my daughter. She has a private practice( not a Dr Factory), she has one other Dr. who is just starting in her practice with her that she has looked long and hard for. Dr. Lwin is 66 and has worked by herself for a long time and is looking for some much deserved R&R. We have not met the new Dr. who is a young male with a wife and small child, he was an emergency room Dr. which makes us happy for the knowledge he will be bringing with him. Hi L....I go to Rio Vista Pediatrics; Dr. Nolan Berman, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE him. There is also a female doctor in the office named Any Relkin, but I like Dr. Berman a little better. They have Saturday appointments but only for sick kids. The address is 789 South Federal Highway, Ft Lauderdale, and the phone # is ###-###-####. I'm not sure if he's taking new patients or not, but once again I do highly recommend him. Hope I helped!

There is a great 1 in weston named Dr. Salland. She is terrific!!!!!!!!

I love Dr. Sash & Dr. Dharmappa at East/West Pediatrics in Ft. Lauderdale. Right off of Davie, East of Andrews. They are also open on Saturdays and really respect personal parenting styles/beliefs.

If not there then I have many friends that also see Dr. Berman at Rio Vista and all have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his office.

I second Dr. Nolan Berman and Dr. Amy Relkin at Rio Vista. I've had Dr. Berman since my 4 yr. old was born (now I have a 4 and a 1 yr. old), and I see Relkin sometimes when they are sick. Both great doctors. For some reason the baby does better with Relkin (maybe because she's a woman).

Not sure how far you are willing to drive but we have a great pediatrician in Coral Springs that I have gone to since my kids were born. I would not think of going to anyone else unless I moved out of the area. His name is Stephen Restler, he is with Pediatric Associates and the # is ###-###-####
The reason I/we like him is several things......he's great with the kids, doesn't rush you, he tries other alternatives before going straight to antibiotics, etc....

Ok if you are stll looking.......Childrens Medical Center with 3 locations Hollywood, & 2 Pembroke Pines. They are hands down the best. I personally use Dr. Kenneth Budowsy (he listens to you and doesn't make you think you don't know anything). They have a lot of Dr.s & NP, which means if your child is REALLY SICK AND NEEDS TO BE SEEN NOW.....you will be seen, with sat & sun hours as well as late appointments during the week. I have not seen all of the Dr.'s but I have seen more than a hand full and they were all nice. The phone number is ###-###-####.

Depending on your travel radius, Dr.Fang-Patrick with Kiddyatrics is terrific. Her office is located in Miramar and she works at the Memorial Miramar Hospital.
1951 SW 172 Ave., Ste 410, Miramar ###-###-####. I switched to her when my daughter was only 2wks old as I was very dissatified with the previous ped.dr I chose. After picking her office randomly from a list of drs, I was very impressed by her receptionist and the info given to me(the warmth & care), and meeting Dr.Fang-Patrick and the warmth & compassion & knowledge that came accross was just what I was looking for, My daughter is now 17mths old, and my grandson(14mths)areboth happy clients.

Coral Square Pediatrics by the coral square mall in coral springs. My son sees Dr. Cheresnik. I love him. He's a great doc, he takes the time to answer all your questions. He's also been a doc for a while, a friend of mine went to him her whole childhood, and she loved him. He's very laid back, which I like, and my son has always loved him. There's another doctor in there too, Dr. Liang. She's very good too, very thorough. They also have a nurse practitioner, but my son doesn't like her. Good luck!
