Need a Garage Door Tune up - Had a Scary Guy Come Already

Can anyone recommend someone they feel comfortable having in their home and at a reasonable cost.

This was the first time I was truly braced to bolt for the door when a workman was in my house. I'm really freaking out a bit and we need to tune up our door (hopefully that's all it needs!)

Thanks,
L.

So What Happened?

We called Travis at All Pro Garage Doors and he was great! Nice, honest, no-pressure guy. Even said he had coupons on the web at http://www.apgaragedoors.com/

I will defininately recommend him to friends and leave his card for our buyers!

Not sure where you live but we used Plano Garage Door and loved them...plus I felt safe alone with the babies and the work men. I would just "Google" them...

Hello L.,

We've used Garage Door Service Co. since 2001 and we're happy with their service. The first time our garage door would go up higher than 3 feet... and the car was inside the garage and my husband was out of the country. Luckilly it was a saturday =)

Hi L.,

I used Welborn www.welborndoors.com and I haven't had a problem since. They were professional and thorough. The tune-up cost me $54 but, well worth not having to get out of my car to help lift up the door when it was too cold to do it on it's own.

good luck and I hope that helps

If you haven't found someone yet, you really need to check out A1 Affordable Garage Doors! Ask for Kris O'Connor and tell her T. Camp sent you. Their website is http://www.repairgaragedoors.com/

She's in my networking group and is a marvelous woman. The reason I feel totally comfortable recommending them is that they also give back to the community. That's real important to me.

my garage door jumped off its track and that same day i found a business card on my front door. i called the guy and he was wonderful. he came right over, fixed the door, charged me $35. i didn't have cash so he said i could drop it by his house any time. i was very pleased with his work and he was very professional.

Hi L.
We live in Lewisville and used a company called Cabot's Garage Door Service. Their website is http://www.cabotsgaragedoorservice.com/ and their phone number in Denton County ###-###-####.
The company is owned by 2 brothers and one of the brothers actually came out and looked at our door. They're very friendly and not scary at all!

I also had a scary guy come out, but ended up not using him. Instead I had a very nice older gentlemen from Tru-Roll Overhead Door (trurolloverheaddoor.com) come out and he was professional and polite. Would use them again!

I've known him for about 10 years...he owns his own garage door company. Very nice...not creepy at all. He does all of our garage door work.
Let him know that Krissy Carter told you about him. His wife and I are very good friends, so I know the family.

Cabot's Garage is who we used......two younge brothers that own their own business. Bryan Cabot was the one who came out to our house, very pleasant and answered any questions we had. He replaced the spring above our garage door b/c it popped. They had the most reasonable price after calling around for estimates and we were satisfied w/ the work.

We used Plano Garage Door. The guy was really nice and didn't creep me out at all. He also found a part that was about to break that would have cause the door to come crashing down. YIKES.
I don't have the number right here but I think I found them in the phone book.
