We are relocating from Lubbock, TX to San Antonio at the end of February. We will be living in Cibolo to be exact. We need an excellent pediatrician and OBGYN. We have 4 children with number 5 on the way. This will be my 5th c-section, so I need an OB who is good with possible complications. We would like to have a pediatrician who is available for sameday appointments and possibly Saturdays. Also, something that is not too terribly far away, we don't want to drive an hour to go to the doctor. Any suggestions would be very welcome! Thank you so much!

Well congrats on the baby on the way. I go to Women's Partners and I think they have an office in the Cibolo/Schertz area. I have a pediatrician but I don't really like the staff. I have a friend that takes her daughter to NE Pediatrics except I can't go there because they don't take our insurance. Hope this helps. You can email me personally if you want or have more questions.

Hi A.,
I go to Northeast OBGYN to Dr. Powell. Several of my friends go to the other doctors in this practice and they are all happy with them. They deliver at Northeast Baptist, which has a brand-new Women's Center and Neo-Natal ICU. Their website is www.ne-obgyn.com. I take my daughter to Northeast Pediatric Associates to Dr. Hagee, and she is wonderful. Again, several of my friends use other doctors in this practice, and my OB takes his own kids there. You might check the review section of this site for these and others. Good luck! C. S.

I had planned a home birth but because of complications I ended up in the hospital. I had no choice but to use the OB/GYN on call and I was very scared that he/she might not be good. He was WONDERFUL!!! His name is Henry Garza III and he is with a group called the Institute for Womens Health (www.ifwh.org) I ended up having a c-section and he did an amazing job. Dr. Garza was very kind and caring, he was very sweet and did everything to make me feel totally comfortable.

Also, I VERY HIGHLY recommend North Central Baptist Hospital to deliver at (this is where Dr. Garza delivered my baby) They have a brand new wing of the hospital and the rooms are SO nice. It was like going to a nice hotel not a hospital. EVERY nurse was SO nice and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about them. You will have a wonderful experience if you deliver there ... look into it and feel free to contact me if you have any questions! ____@____.com
