Morning Sickness Starting Again in My 8Th Month of Pregnancy

I was just wondering if anybody else has had morning sickness come back in late pregnancy. I was sick all day everyday for the first 5 1/2 months of my pregnancy. I finally got over it and wasn't sick at all until yesterday. Yesterday morning and this morning, out of the blue, I got sick. Luckily it didn't last all day yesterday, and this afternoon it's better, but I am worried that this is not normal. Anybody else experience this?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

No sickness today... so far...YEAH!!! :) I guess my baby just didn't like what I ate for breakfast or something. Hopefully it stays this way. Thanks again for the responses.

I did have this problem and one of the contributing factors was constipation. If you aren't going that can make you feel sick as well. If it is constipation do Not take any over the counter meds to help with this, call the Doc. Not to worry it's normal either way. If you aren't loosing weight and all your tests came back fine then you are one of the unlucky ones that just got a little extra at the end of the pregnancy. Always talk to your Doc if anything unusual happens during pregnancy most times a phone call can take care of the problem and the worry about the precious bundle.

Hi M.,

8 months and a difficult pregnancy. I can relate. The girls at work would ask me ...how are you feeling today and my response would be I'm doing great, its been about 5 minutes that I haven't felt like I was going to throw up.
As soon as that stopped, then I had kidney stones. Only one more month to go. You must be anticapting the day.

One thing that may be happening along with the possibly constipation is severe heartburn that can cause you to throw up. Do you think thta this may be the cause. Most women get heartburn towards the end of the prgnancy. Just another wonderful thing about being pregnant. If it is heartburn then you can try some tums. As the baby gets bigger, it compresses everything inside. Thus causing our stools to become harder and acid to be pushed up the throat. If you think its hearburn then try elevating your bed. This way you are in a sitting up position and the acids would have to fight gravity. So, this usually helps at night.

However, its probably the stomach flu that was suggested by another reader. It is going around the country. I hope for your sake thats all it is and you will feel better the remaining length of your pregnancy.

I know this won't help now but my second pregnancy I was nauseaus for 1 1/2 hours and my husband threw up. So remember every pregnancy can be different.

Also remember, your doctor should be willing to take any questions regading your pregnancy. Give the office a call and you just might feel better talking to a professional.

Good luck and I hope this last part of your pregnancy goes by quickly.

Hi M.,

This is normal. There can be a couple of things that cause it. With me it was because my son was so big he was pushing on everything or it could be just your hormones readjusting. If you are really concerned then I would call your doctor.

I suggest keeping mild food in your system at all times. Small amounts every couple of hours and drink plenty of water. Also, liquid aloe helps and so does green tea.

You can get aloe at www.Herbalmom.com

Hope this helps and good luck with you new arrival.

A stomach flu thing is going around. I felt fine but suddenly tossed my cookies two days in a row.

It could be that or it could be just cramped quarters. Your stomach is shoved way up in your abdomin right now so upset stomach is common I would think. I had morning sickness till I was 5 adn half months pregnant too. It went away but I did feel nauseated late in my pregnancy from time to time.

You can try Emetrol. It's safe during pregnancy and it's over the counter. It helps with nausea. Look it up on line and check with your doctor if you need to feel comfortable trying it. Good Luck.

Hi there! I was reading your request and that sounds like how I was! I was sick in the begning but I always got sick at night werid huh? but I started to get sick again into my late pregnancy. It only lasted maybe 2 weeks but what helped me was drinking water with lemon i know thats sounds weird but it helped then it went away and never came back. I didn't consult my doctor because by the next time I went back the sickness stopped. But if it continues I would at least touch-base with them to askabout it! hope it helps!

Unfortunatly, it is normal! (sorry you are feeling sick again!!) I was sick 24/7 for 9 mo. with my daughter, and had exactly the pregnancy sickness you are having now with my son.

Hope you feel better soon!

I had it too, only for a few days and my doctor said no big deal, that is was pretty normal... Unless it's exesive and you feel like your loosing weight, I wouldn't worry too much.

Hi M.. Oh do I know how you are feeling. It seemed as though I was much sicker with my girl babies than my boys. Wives tale or not. :)

I was sick from the beginning and I did loose weight. I was a little overweight to begin with though, so I don't think anyone was worrying. They did ultrasounds a couple of times to make sure that the baby was healthy. They did blood tests and such and all was still well.

The sad thing for me was that I was skinnier after the birth than I am right now. That was 2 years ago. ~sigh~ Well, that is what New Year's Resolutions are for. :)

I wouldn't worry too much. I bet your belly is just pushing up on your stomach and such. Probably just getting cramped for space in there. ;)

Good luck!
