ok so i know some may say go get a pregnancy test but i wanna just ask anyone who has or had the mirena iud if u felt this way. i had my son 3 and a half months ago. got the iud in on june 24 nd havent used any fore of BC since ive gotten it in. so for the past few weeks ive been feeling off. ive got a discharge(sry tmi), feel bloated, belly is tender, going pee often, feeling nauseas a lot. couls these be symptoms of another pregnancy or some from the iud. i havent had a regular period since i got it placed so i cant track a missed period so than i wouldnt even know when to test. getting pregnant would really hurt us right now. and i read that getting pregnant while on the mirena the pregnancy would most likely end in miscarriage. what could be wrong? thanks. and no im not breastfeeding so that would not mess with my period or the symptoms.

What can I do next?

Mierena causes a lot of women not to experience a period, but experience the symptoms of PMS anyway. I do have a friend that concieved on Mierena, so it is possible. I would get a pregnancy test to be sure. Good luck.

Ok I have the iud and this happened to me and still sometimes does this is your "period" I don't get the blood at all any more but I still sometimes get cramps and moody and its normally around the time I would get my period. So I would say its just your bodies way of saying hey I'm still here you should be having your period! Hope this helps

Call your doctor and find out. It could be that it shifted inside or you have an infection starting. Be on the safe side and call. Hope you feel better.

I do not have the mirena but do have the paragard. I have had regular periods since i had my iud placed in may. Unlike your type of IUD, I do not have hormones in mine. The discharge does seem to increase, unfortunately. You can feel dizzy from the placement of the IUD. Get a pregnancy test and do it so you know how to proceed. If you are pregnant then you need to talk to the doctor. I hope for the best. Good luck
