Hi,
We just found out my 4 year old daughter has astigmatism in both eyes and will need glasses.
Where can I find a good selection of children's frames?
Also, is there a place that offers a good replacement or breakage policy on children's frames?
Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

We bought our son's glasses at Target optical. They had several frames to choose from, and often run specials.

Dallas Youth Opticals -- they have a store in Plano and Dallas (NW Highway & Preston).

We just had to get glasses for our two year old daughter. Fifth Avenue Eyewear in Fort Worth is GREAT! ###-###-#### is their number. They had a great selection. Were VERY patient. It was quick and painless and reasonably priced. I'd recommend them to anyone. They are located close to Harris Methodist Hospital on Fifth Avenue!

Try Walmart. They have a sale on lenses and frames through the end of this month. The lenses are just $30 and the frames are very reasonable, as well. My daughter just got a spare pair of glasses because they were such a great price on sale.

They do offer a warranty, but I can't recall the specifics.

Our daughter needed glasses when she was 2 for the same thing. Since she was so small, the only place we found with more than one set of frames her size was Arlington Eyewear. It's on Matlock Rd in Arlington. The technician there (believe his name is Matt) is very meticulous about the right fit, so we made the drive down there for her replacement pair this year. I think they have a lot of experience with children there, and our daughter's eye doctor recommended them. He said you can get the lenses anywhere because they are made on a computer, but it's very important to get a good-fitting pair of frames. We've had to get a few adjustments (you can only imagine what a 3 yr old can do to a pair of glasses) and found Ragsdale Vision Center on Locust in Denton is pretty good. They've made all our adjustments and repairs for free even though we didn't buy the frames there. They also seemed to have a good selection of smaller frames. We'll likely get her next pair there.
