I need a preschool in the Yardley area. I don't want an 8 hour a day daycare...I just want a 3 day a week/couple hours a day kinda place. My son will be 3 in June and I'd like to have him in a preschool after the summer. I want him to become a little more social with other kids...and I think preschool would be good for him.
thanks

What can I do next?

Check out Neshamony united methodist preschool on Main street in Hulmeville - right next door to Affections daycare/preschool (isn't not regilious) - M/W/F - 9-11:30 & the teachers there are incredible. My girls both went there, sisters kids, friends kids...best of all - it is extremely reasonable in price compared to all the other preschools in the area. However the child must be potty trained. Good luck to you!

I'm not too familiar with the area youre looking in but generally any international or american association certified montessori school is a good choice for true preschool education vs. daycare..or waldorf preschool, they tend to incorporate more arts/crafts and creative play than montessori.

Hello,
My son is 2 1/2 and started Shir Ami Preschool (in Newtown) last Fall. We love it there, his verbal skills have improved dramatically since he started. The teachers are really nice and caring. We are a mixed faith family (Catholic and Jewish) and feel really comfortable there. We hope this helps.

Hi C., my son has been going to the Children's House of Bucks County Montessori school since his preschool years. It is a wonderful school. My son is now in second grade and he loves it. The children benefit from being in a room with other children that are slightly older or younger than they are. They learn from each other. My son was so excited the first time he gave a lesson to one of the younger children in the class. I have never seen him so proud of himself. They learn everyday activities like cleaning up after themselves and it really makes life at home alot easier. They also do arts and crafts and their whole philosophy is centered around creativity. Each child learns at his/her own pace. There are no dittos or worksheets, it's all hands on. I can't say enough about the staff and the teachers. You have to check it out.

They offer many different options for days/times depending on what you want. Toddler-Elementary. www.chbcmontessori.com
