Looking for a Good Pediatrician in Mesa Area

I am a new foster mom and am looking for a good pediatrician in the Mesa area. Does anyone have one that they really like? My baby is 3 months old, and she is my first, so I don't really have any idea! Some of my friends go to Mesa Peds, but go figure, they don't actually have a Mesa office. I am willing to travel to Gilbert or Chandler or Tempe, where they do have offices, but I would rather stay close if someone has a good suggestion. Please let me know. THanks!

Thanks so much everyone for your help! I will work on contacting the different offices and see what will work best! Thanks again! I'll let you know when I figure something out.

I also go to Palo Verde Pediatrics on Val Vista and Elliot. I live at Power and McKellips and I think the drive is well worth it. We see Dr. Chang and he is really good with the kids. I have to admit it took awhile to feel comfortable with him and get to know him, but now that we have gone there for two years, everyone knows us by name and they have always been really friendly. I know that no matter where I live in the valley I will keep going there! Good luck.

PS I used to go to East Valley Pediatrics in Superstition Springs Mall and left due to the fact that the office was really dirty, had dirty toys that my son always wanted to play with and my son got sick everytime we went for a well visit. Because of this I chose Palo Verde Pediatrics because they have a sick and a well side and do not have toys to tempt the kids with. I did like the Dr. but I didn't like the fact that it was never clean.

I really like Paloverde pediatrics on Valvista and Elliot. They have a sick and well side of their office. That way when you are going in for a routine exam you don't have to expose your child to all of the sick children. They have 4 or 5 pediatricians. I have tried two. Dr. Mike Perlstein is a great doctor but I did not care for his sense of humor. He is a little on the edgy side. Right now we see Dr. Kipp. He is a little older and more old school style. He does his job and then is done - not too chatty. They both were very thorough. I think the other ones are probably good - I just have not met them. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I take my babies to Happy Kids Pediatrics at 135 S. Power Rd (across the street from Banner Baywood hospital between Broadway and Main) and I love it there. It easy to make an appointment and the wait isn't usually too bad. I think the longest that I have had to wait was 30 minutes, but that was around Christmas time, so lots of people wanted to get their kids' check-ups done before they left town. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Also, if you are looking for an after hours clinic, but don't want to wait at the E.R., there is a place on Higley just south of Baseline called GoodNight Pediatrics. They are great there too. And since it is after hours, the only wait time that I had was because I had to fill out paperwork for our first visit.

P.S. Congratulations on your new baby! My birthday is one day before hers :)

Dr Kendra Hall is outstanding. I have sent 5 people her way and they all tell me WOW you were right she is so caring and personal. She really cares about the kids. She is with East Valley Pediatrics at Val Vista and Baseline ###-###-#### option number 4 is her office. And another perk is they have an after hours clinic at the Superstition Springs Mall for nights and weekends. Wish you luck and God bless you for taking on a child in need.

Hi J.,

I also recommend Pueblo Pediatrics. I have a 13 yr old, 11 yr old, and 1 yr old and we have been with Dr. Salek the entire time. There are 2 other doctors (both are great) and Pueblo Pediatrics office staff and nurse practitioners are friendly and kid oriented too. ###-###-####.

Good Luck!

I take my kids to Dr. Bansal who is located right next door to Banner Desert. He is wonderful and the great thing i like about him is of course very thorough and will stay with you as long as you need him and will answer any question. He is never in a hurry to get to the next patient. His number is ###-###-####. I would try giving him a call.

Hi J.! Congrats on the new baby. All three of my kids go to East Valley Pediatrics at the Superstition Springs Mall. They have several offices as well. The phone number is ###-###-####. Our pediatrician is Dr. Brenda Kronborg. My kids love her. She really pays attention to her patients and makes you feel welcome.
On a side note, I would love to know how/what you did to become a foster mom. I've considered doing this but haven't taken any steps yet. If you don't mind emailing me at ____@____.com.
