We're thinking of taking a cruise this year with some friends and we're looking for a good cruise line and destination that is kid friendly. The kids will be between 18 months to 4 years old. Any suggestions???

What can I do next?

We took a Disney crusie when my daughter was 18 months old and it was great for her and us. She was enthralled with all the disney characters and activities but it was still adult enough for us (we are not really big disney people). I haven't taken her on another cruise to compare to anything else. I did find that a lot of the shore excursions were too much for her or for what I thought she could handle (ex. 3 hours on a bus - each way - to see some ruins or a rainforest or something like that) so we mostly just did our own thing when on shore. However, I have a friend who has no problem with those type of excursions and taking their young son, so I think it is all what you are willing to do / put up with.

Hi,
I totally recommend Puerto Rico. There is something for everyone:hiking, swimming in ocean, and pools, old San Juan town and forts, ancient ruins, caves, excellent food, reasonably priced accommodations, and beautiful scenery everywhere. It is a very popular cruise ship stop in Old San Juan, which is where you'll find all the shops and restaurants, but the rest of the island has so much to offer. There's even a dry dessert in the south, with cactus, that empties out into the ocean. Amazing. We've been twice, both times with toddlers/small children. I have never cruised so I can't recommend anything with that. Enjoy!
