How to Clean My Husband's Ties??

I know this may be an odd question, but I'm sure someone out there can help me. My husband asked me to find out how to clean his work ties. He must have read how it's an easy place for germs to collect and they should be cleaned. Well, his ties say "dry clean only," but when I searched the internet, the general rule was "do NOT wash or dry clean silk ties."
Help...what is a safe way to clean or at least freshen up all my husband's ties and he has A LOT!!
Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hey, I don't know anything about ties, so I guess it's just fine to dryclean them. I also have to admit that I don't own anything silk or even labeled "dry clean" only, so I didn't want to take any chances doing the wrong thing with my husband's ties. Thanks for all the advise so far. :o)

I clean my hubby ties myself I take a tub like the one they give you at the hospital put warm water , washing soap , and color bleach 2 in the let them soak a bit. Then I take a towel and place them on the towel, then start twisting the towel like you would if you where drying your hair. After dry with the towel I places them on a hanger and let them finish drying in the laundry room them iron them as needed. I know it a lot but I am the type of person that loves to do laundry so it doesn't mater to me the time involved.

As a Personal Assistant I've always taken my employers ties to the dry cleaners as well. Just don't take them all at once because as previously mentioned its NOT cheap! Costs more for a little ole tie than it does for a pair of pants! I took approximately 30 ties in at once and came back with a $150+ bill!

WHAT? No dry cleaning? I've been sending hubby's ties (no matter what the fabric, and believe me, he's spent a fortune on silk ties) to the dry cleaners for over 20 years. Talk to your cleaners first and see if there's any reason why they wouldn't accept them. I just got a batch back (including my six year old's rayon blend clip on tie) and everything's perfect.

I send my son's to the dry cleaner - he has a lot that belonged to his grandfather - and then come back great! I had a little 'sticker' shock at the cost but they look beautiful.....good luck!
