My daughter has new favorite boots. They are pink - fake leather - with little sequin sparkly star insets. She wore them out this weekend and got them covered in mud. How should I clean them so I don't ruin them? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Don't get them wet. Take them outside and bang them together, knocking off the dry mud. When most of it is gone rub with a soft brush or rag to get more dried mud off. Finally, rub them with a wet rag to remove the rest of the mud.

If you get the mud wet again it will be much more difficult to get off.

I'd probably just hose them off with the shower head, avoiding getting water inside.

What Jill K said.
Except have your daughter do it.
If she has to clean up her messes, she might think twice before getting her favorite stuff dirty the next time around.

Knock off the mud and use a damp cloth. It's okay that they are a little dirty, that is what makes them favorites.
