Help with Advertising Mom 2 Mom Sale

I am helping to plan a Mom 2 Mom Sale this spring, and I am looking for some pointers of how else can we advertise for this event? We are listed on the mom2momlist.com website, and we will have it listed in our town's Observer papers. Unfortunately, with the town we are in, we are not able to advertise with those lawn signs.

So...for those of you who are Mom 2 Mom Shoppers, where do you look to find info about these sales to go to?

What can I do next?

Hello~ I have been do many mom2mom sales and always found out about them through either word of mouth or the website you already mentioned. You may want to try running an ad in the newspaper!

Hi C.!

Your sale wouldn't be held in Livonia, would it? My MOPS group is through St Edith/St Kenneth churches with our M2M sale held at St Edith, in Livonia.

We have had to resort to many ways to advertise our sale as people have become accustomed to looking for those lawn signs the week before our sale. If you are interested, I could put you in touch with out M2M team.

When is your sale? Our sale is coming up next Saturday, April 18th. We are all overwhelmed with getting our flyers to libraries, schools, pre-schools and anyone else who will help us or put a sign on their private property. So, they might not have the time to respond until afer the sale.

Our M2M sale also uses newspaper classifieds, church papers (surrounding area), cable city channel. And the best way is word of mouth. Once your sale gets a rep it will be a success.

I am an avid mom2mom saler and I always look at the mom2momlist. I also get very interested if I see a posting for a mom2mom sale on craigslist in the garage sales section that has a general list of what the seller will be offering at that sale. And pictures are worth a thousand words - so upload some - especially if you have any big ticket items (and state asking price).

We post fliers at pediatrician's and dental offices in the area, as well at community bulletin boards around town - some local restuarants will allow us to post on a window as well. School newspapers are good too, as well as daycare centers.

Sometimes we will put a sign in the side windows of our cars the day before the sale to make sure "the word gets out"...
