Yikes. Unless you plan to breed her, you must always "fix" your dogs and cats. It will def cut down on the humping. It may also help to get her a stuffed animal she can hump. Whenever she humps your leg, tell her no and give her the stuffed animal. Train her to only hump the stuffed animal. But yes, you should definitely get her fixed. With all the stray and abandoned animals, it's almost a requirement these days. Even breeders sell their dogs on a "nueter contract" meaning it's a requirement that you get them fixed by the time they are 1 year old. They won't send you the papers until you do so.
There are places out there that offer free or low cost nueter and spaying.

It's a dominance issue. Spaying her can help with some behavioral problems and there isn't any reason not to get her fixed, so you should get her fixed as a responsible pet owner.

You need to get a professional dog trainer / dog behaviorist. They should be able to teach you how to regain the Alpha position. Once you and all other people are established being higher in the pack order the humping will go away.

Good luck!

I don't know what to do about this either!! We have 3 dogs. The 9 yr old Cocker has a special stuffed toy and he carries that thing around hugging and humping it...all of course at the most inappropriate times. The 4 yr old girl Cocker does not do anything like that. The 2 yr old poodle is obsessed with the 4 yr old cocker. He humps her like crazy and it looks like he is piggy back riding.

All of our dogs are fixed. We did ask the Dr. about the poodle because he is obsessed with the other dog. He told us that the fixing does not stop the humping. He also said it is not necessarily sexual that is is due to excitement as well. When we catch them we just firmly say "no".

Good luck and I look forward to reading the responses you get!
