False Pregnancy After Surgery?

Ok so two years ago I had my last little one and then I had surgery because I wanted him to be my last. For the last couple of months I have been feeling pregnant though. Yes I have had some light periods, but I had periods during all three of my pregnancies. I went about a month where I was having difficulty keeping anything down. Currently, I'm craving dairy and having stomach cramps. The thought keeps crossing my mind that I feel pregnant. Then I think . . . but I had surgery! If I hadn't had surgery I would just go and get a test and put my mind to ease. But I don't want to because what if it says I am . . . but I had surgery!

Ok, at this point what is most likely is that I am having a false pregnancy right? So I should just go get the test and my body will give it up and stop acting like I am.

What can I do next?

Like a few others have said, just go and take a test. The Dollar Store has them for literally $1 and they are effective. I used them with both of my pregnancies.
Keep us posted.

Take a test. There's no sense worrying, if there is nothing to worry over. You won't know without the test. You're going to drive yourself batty.

Go to the store and buy the dang test! If you're not then you need to see the doctor and find out what is going on. Are you old enough for menopause or perimenopause? I think they can have similar sypmtoms to pregnancy, but I'm not sure. Good luck, but go put your mind to rest!

Honey women still can become pregnant even if we had surgery to prevent pregnancy,or from the man it can leak in eiither way.Unless everything is gone it is a slim chance but has happened

If you had a tubal, there is the small possibilty that you can still get pregnant. HOWEVER when it does happen it can cause an ectopic preganancy (where the egg embeds in your tubes instead of the uterus). This is very dangerous. Take a test, if it is positive immediately go to the doctor so they can verify where the embryo is.

It happens. Naturally none of us can tell you if you are or aren't. Go to the dollar store even, dollar tree here, and get a pregnancy test. They work fine and it's the only way you are going to get peace of mind. Sure it isn't likely at all that you are but the couple bucks a test costs will put your mind at ease and that is well worth it. Good luck!

Surgery is pretty accurate. However, there is a small chance you can still get pregnant after surgery. Just take a home pregnancy test and get it done with. It could just be some funky hormonal changes and a good imagination/worry.

Did you have a tubal ligation, or another type of surgery? I have a friend who had scarring done to her tubes, with the intent of easing difficult periods, and she's both much less likely to get pregnant and not supposed to get pregnant--but it's not nearly as effective as a tubal...go take the test, then see your doc!
