Failed Tubal Clams?

I am 29 with 2 children(just turned 8 & will be 10 in 2 months) I have searched the net for hours on several different days trying to find information on this. My tubes were clamped in spring 2004, almost 7 yrs ago. About 4 1/2months ago I had 2 positive pregnancy test results at home. Honestly I freaked out and wouldn't speak about it. Then 3 months ago I had hard cramping that woke me up, I had a very heavy, and I never have pain. Things that concern me:
*I had xrays of my lower back after car wreck-tech kept asking what I had in my scrub pockets. I said nothing, she was puzzled
and asked if I had paper clips in my pockets...I asked if it could be my tube clamps, she said maybe and that was it. Shouldn't she know??
*why did I even have positive results and symptoms?
*my OB that clamped them said he didn't feel
I was ever pregnant after doing a urine test and he didn't feelthe need to
test any futher...? I had insurance at the time...
*a few days after my cramping my regular dr did his regular bloodwork he does yearly and this time he asked if I had recently miscaried. I just said I didn't know and we went on with talking about diabetes.Has anyone has this issue or know where to find a pic to compare my xray to? (I has the xrays bc I had to take them to orthopedic) and it looked like a paper clip that had been pulled apart. And what are hcg levels if your not pregnant?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So here's the what happened for you all ... I went to the ER with cramping in my lower right pelvic area. They thought it was my appendix. After a CT I was informed the left tubal clamp has come completely off and moved to the right side. So that's why I got pregnant. Miscarried due to scar tissue, and discomfort and cramping in my right side. And I'll have to look into another form of birth control if and when I become active again.
**To the rude commenter, you don't have to be ugly. I was upset and confused and came here because I was tol it was a good online mom community. But you were so mean and put down every worry I had and upset me. Ive not asked another question here yet bc of you. If you can't say anything nice or helpful you should move on. You really don't know what someone already has to put up with in life without someone like you attacking a stranger because you've had a bad day.
** to all the rest of you who commented I appreciate very much your concern and politeness. There was only on mean person. It's obvious who. So don't worry, it wasn't you :)

Wow... so per your regular Doctor... since he asked you these things... is he doing/recommending FURTHER testing/ultrasounds, to find out of you did miscarry or have diabetes????
THEN, per your X-Ray... did your regular Doctor see this?
If not SHOW him.
This does not seem right.....

Your OB... is probably not saying much... because of possible.... liability... if anything.

Do a Google Search on "what does a tubal clamp look like."

HANG ON to your X-rays.... this is your proof of anything, if something is wrong.... thankfully you do have your x-rays in hand.

yes your clamps look like open paper clips on an xray i had one done by my ciro and he laughed about it .
but why is because if i remember correctly it was because you can not see your tubes in a xray therefore it would look like 2 paper clips just floating in there

Depending on where your clamps are--it's possible you had an ectopic pregnancy. But, because the embryo couldn't make it to the uterus to implant, it attached to the inside of your fallopian tube. I have a feeling you'd miscarried that night because your clamps worked.

I don't know anything about the clamps, sorry. However, I have had a miscarrage before. I took at home pregnancy tests and they were negative. I then miscarried and since it was early (I had only been 2 weeks late) I didn't go to a doctor, besides it didn't truely dawn on me till I had actually passed it. When I finally went to the doctor they did a blood test that showed that I had been pregnant. Blood tests are not wrong. Urine tests can be.

I"m confused are you upset cause you might have gotten pregnant after the tubal? Or are you upset that if you were that you miscarried?]

If you are looking for a case against your Doc for a "failed Tubal" then I can honestly say unless you can prove the he/she totally jacked it up then just you getting preg isn't nearly enough.. there are NO forms of birth control that are completely 100% other than hysterectomy, or plain not having sex... You can find out just anywhere.. even with a bilateral tubal ligation regardless if they are tied, clamped. burned whatever.. you still have a chance of getting pregnant.
