Hey can anyone tell me what you know about Acai Berry? I've heard great things about weight loss and all natural, etc.... but is it safe to drink while breastfeeding? Does it affect my 2 1/2 month old??

I agree. It doesnt do nothing for weight loss.. I had a great article where it states the myths about this berry. Anyway, Ive been losing weight and inches by using the Ultimate Body Applicator. Its from it works.

I'm not really sure about the effects on your baby, but from personal experience it doesn't do much for weight loss. Frankly, it didn't help all that much with energy, either! Of course, this is just one person's experience. I think it would be safe to try - just start with small amounts to see how you and your little guy feel.

Good luck!

Hey R.,
From my understanding Acai is a stimulant. I have not read anything on the effects of breast fed infants, but I would speculate that it would easily pass to your milk just as coffee would. This in turn may make your guy a little fussy or agitated.

I drank it once and the next day, my son projectile volited after breastfeeding. I never drank it again and he never did that agin. Just my experience - I am sure many are different. Personally I think it is just one more b.s. product on the market. If you are trying to lose weight a proper diet and exercise will always work!

It's just fruit juice. I drink Monavie - doesn't help with weight loss at all, but I do have more energy. As long as it doesn't have glucosomine, you'r ok. Glucosomine, is probably ok, too, but there haven't been enough studies to be definitive.

Acai is great for you and your baby. Acai has a ton of vitamins and minerals. Don't forget that it does have a lot of healthy fat. I don't really buy the weight loss thing. No one in Brazil eats Acai as a means to lose weight (and it's from here)

I think its great for babies! As long as it doesnt have any glucosamin (spelling??) it should be ok...
kids should not have any unless prescribed by a doctor until I think I heard about 13-15 years old. Enjoy your baby!

It's a fruit juice... as long as there isn't anything else being added to it. Read the ingrdients, but don't stress out about losing weight right now.. your baby and your body need nutrients. Just return to healthy eating and you will drop the weight.
