Do You Feel Annoyed If a Mom Post Many Questions the Same Day?

Updated on March 22, 2011

Sometimes I have more then 1..or 2..or 3 questions. Ok somedays I want to ask a lot, some because I really need help in stuff, others because I just need the interaction with grown ups, other because I see a question then it remind me of that question that I keep forgetting to ask, etc. Yes, I have friends but is not the same and probably could no get away to call them as many times as I would like to post, lol.
I many times I have to hold myself and tell me: ok you post already 2, leave the space to the other moms too. Or, ok I have a real question but I also thought about this JFF question and debate wich one to write.
Do I am the only one that does this??
Anyway, do you find annoyed if a mom ask many questions in a day?

What can I do next?

The only ones that annoy me are the ones titled HELP!!! and you look inside to find they want to know what brand fabric softener is best or something mundane like that. Now I'm not saying you can't ask an opinion on fabric softener but don't make it look like you're having a crisis for crying out loud! LOL

The same person posting doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is when the SAME question is being asked over and over again in the same day.

There use to be a limit of only 2 questions a day.

The only time I find it annoying is if a person continually rehashes rants or asks the same question over and over again in a short period of time.

Other than that, I think it's great!

Just For Fun questions are a nuisance (and JFF makes me think of Jiff peanut butter). If it were up to me I'd call them spam.
One person asking a lot of different questions doesn't bother me. One person asking the same question over and over hoping for different answers is a different matter.
The same subject coming up over and over again from different people is annoying. Sometimes I think if I see one more vaccine question I might scream. The topic has been done to death. The site does have a search function but the results of the search are in no particular order I can figure out. I'm not interested in wading through answers from 2008 in order to find a question from last week.

It doesn't bother me how many questions are post. It bothers me more when I see post after post of JFF questions. I guess I should be happy though that people are not in need with questions of substance.

The one thing that bothers me more is when someone posts the same question in a different way over and over and over again. If they ignored the advice the first 2 times than I feel I am wasting my breath answering them the third time because I know they'll be posting the same thing again within the month.

I don't mind people posting several questions because I know I do. I get bored at work almost every day and post questions that I think of usually right when I think of them. LOL

Stacey P knows how bored I am at work I think I PM'ed her like 50 times in the last two days. We are going through a tough time together. And she has become one of my rocks! Thanks Stacey P!!!!

I agree with the am I pregnant, should I get them vaccinated, and sometimes the JFF questions. I really don't mind the JFF it just seems that in the last few weeks there has been a ton (just my opinoin though).

Love all of you Mommy's even when you just flat out tell me out it is. I don't hold grudges and you all are helping make me a better Mommy and Step-Mommy.

I do think it's a bit much to see three or more questions in a row from the same poster. But yes some of the obvious questions are annoying, and some people should call a doctor not post here! What really bothers me like someone sort of mentioned is when the subject/title of a post is too generic or not related to the question. I don't have time to read every single "help" or "what do you think" post, I prefer them to be more specific so I know if it's worth looking at (ie something I can help with!) and yes I too wish more people would check past posts instead of asking questions that we regulars see every single day, sometimes twice :)

When the site was mamasource, there may have been 10 questions asked in an entire day. I love that they questions are a ongoing. I rarely notice the poster, so if you have many questions in one day, I will not have a clue. Ask 10 a day if you need to. This site helps me with so many things, and I often want to ask a few, but I hold back for some reason.? I dont know.

No-I don't think I would even notice. WHile were on the topic though the thing that does annoy me a wee bit is the JFFs.

Oh-and the how do I work from home questions. They are the only ones that I have stopped answering because a. its asked almost every day and b. it literally takes one minute to do a google search that will bring up many legitimate companies out there. Several time I have answered these posts with links but have stopped because it is something that can easily be found by a board search.

I love that you asked this, I am soooo addicted to this site and really need to go get some real friend because as this point there is no one i can call up at 4 in the afternoon and ask how often they do their laundry and vent about how hubby just did the most annoying thing Again, and aks for good book recommendations and how old kids should be for i let them wander around the Fun Fair at school with their buddies.
I say ask as much as you want but i beg everyone to be specific with their titles, Help and I need Help are not decriptive enough for me.

One mom asking several questions doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes thinking goes that way - you post about one thing, and then you think of several more questions. People don't have to ask one question and then wait their turn to ask another one, which is good! Is it possible to post a question and have it turned down for lack of space??

I think it's fine. I understand that sometimes, we moms are very busy and when we have the time to post questions, we might have more than one.

I think what does annoy me is when someone posts a question, and when they don't like the answers, they re-post it to elicit the answers they do want. It's only happened a few times, but it's a bit much.

I am all for helping other moms, but sometimes this board is the only social interaction I get with grown ups all day (my hubby works all day two jobs and my friends are at work, so I cant call them) so its nice to have "questions" that are on the lighter side

I agree with getting annoyed at repetitive questions, but at the same time, I've tried to search for a question I saw recently but never with any success, so I guess I understand another mom having to ask again. I wish there were a way to tag a question so you could get a notification when an answer hits. Feel free to ask as many as you want, though. Sometimes I have a lot, too.
