Hi, I am looking for a dermatologist recommendation. I currently live in East Cobb but am willing to travel a little if the Dr. is super good. Also, if anyone also has any experience with a good orthopedic physician as well I'd appreciate that referral too! Thanks!

What can I do next?

My experience has been that there are many Dermatologist that concentrate on the looking good. i.e. younger skin programs, laser, botox, etc. Dr. Scott Karempolis and Dr Mark Crispin are good. If you have skin problems-execema, psoriasis, lupus related skin problems- these Derms are harder to find. Dr Micheal Fisher with The Center for Dermatologic Diesases is the GO TO guy. The office I visit is near Northside Hospital but I suspect all of these Docs have multiply locations.

You do not need to travel out of East Cobb! I was in the same situation last year after going to a large dermatology group and being passed around like a number, myself and my teenage son! I searched and interviewed around before I found a super practice. I highly recommend you try Dr. Ward. Her office is on Lower Roswell near Johnson Ferry. Their number is ###-###-####. We have been so pleased with how their practice is conducted, that my husband now has an appointment to see them for a suspicious spot. By the way, the "other" group we tried is also in East Cobb and after two mis-prescribed situations including being passed off to a PA, I could not trust their care or approach. They are more popular with cosmetics of dermatology. Dr. Ward listened to our concerns, was very careful in any medications prescribed, and on her own initiative called to check in as necessary rather than have a nurse or office assistant. She takes the time! Give her a try!

Ditto for Marietta Derm -I've used them for years. I love Dr Harper, but I think he's hard to get to see. They have all been good though.
