Ones in a while I'll get cramps. It feels like menstral cramps. I was told by someone that it's comon to have cramps. It's just the expanding of the uterus and all the changes that your body is going thru. Can anyone confirm or help me on my concerns.

So What Happened?

Everything smoothed out I feel much better. It must have been just the hormone and growth processes.
Thanks

I had the exact same thing happen when I was pregnant. They were uncomfortable "menstreul like" cramps off and on in the beginning for awhile. I told my dr. about them and he said that is normal and like someone else said, it is a sign of your uterus expanding. So don't be concerned. I would still address it to your Dr. but you should be fine.

This is common as your uterus expands, if this is your 1st pregnancy then your not used to the stretching that you are feeling. However if you start spotting, get into your OB and get check.

Good Luck!

I had the same thing. It lasted throughout my whole pregancy. Always check with your OB to make sure everything is ok. If it gets worse have them do a ultrasound to confirm that everything is ok. I had that done and it was a huge relief especially after a previous miscarriage. Good luck M. T

It is more than likely your ligaments stretching...No worries. If you have spotting or they get unbearable I would call your Dr, just to ease your mind. I had them as well, I was paranoid because I had a couple of miscarriages.I have to tell you , there will be a list of really different things to happen to your body for the next 9 mo. heehee It goes by pretty fast. Enjoy the miracle growing inside!!!Congratulations!!!

ALWAYS call your doctor first! That being said, everything is probably just fine. It's common to have aches, pains, cramps, etc., in all stages of pregnancy...(wait about 20 more weeks and you'll know what I'm talking about)! ha! Even though aches and pains are common, your health care provider can tell you what is normal and what isn't, and when you should start becoming concerned (duration/frequency/etc., could be a factor). It will give you peace of mind. You don't need to worry yourself through your pregnancy, my dear! Drinking pregnancy tea, or red raspberry leaf tea, will give your uterus support (and needed calcium), as well. It has helped me during pregnancy with aches/pains. Best of luck to you!

I got those with my son it almost felt like a pinching pain like he was pinching me or something from inside out. isnt that weird but when I was pregnant with my daughter I had cramps when i was stressed. just take a hot bath and read a baby magazine. it will calm you. but if it gets bad go to the doctor or call him/her just in case.

ALWAYS check with your doctor and always notify him/her of anything out of the ordinary. Is this your first pregnancy? If so, don't be so worried that you stress about it. Speak to your doctor or his nurse and let them know of your concerns, if it is something they also are concerned about, they will get you in! Cramping can be a normal thing as long as you are not bleeding and it doesn't go beyond "period type" cramps. Good luck and Congrats!

Oh yes, I get cramps all the time. Don't worry though I got them all thoughout my first pregnancy and everything went fine. Just try to do some stretches or maybe lightly massages your belly. It's your uterus and baby growing.
By five months you'll be feeling less cramps and more kicking.

Both my pregnancies I experienced that with spotting. The 2nd one the DR. put me on a weekend bed rest. For some like me it's the norm still didn't ease my mind. So just take it easy relax as much as poss. The first 3 months can be the most stressful take it easy!

Hi K.:

You obviously are alittle worried about these cramps at 7 weeks pg. To relieve your mind I would set up an appt. with your OBGYN asap and put your mind to rest. They may even do a transvaginal ultrasound being your so early but it will put your mind to rest. Don't leave the OBGYN with unanswered questions, ASK questions and go online and do research yourself too.

Good luck! Im sure its normal just dble-check it doesn't hurt to do that K. If you have any further questeions Im here for you.TTYL

I'm also 7 weeks pregnant and this is my 3rd child. I had cramping with all 3 pregnancies. I did talk to my ob's nurse and she said that as long as I'm not doubled over from the pain, it is okay. Just take it easy and rest. My cramping is subsiding a little, but I remember with my other pregnancies that I had more cramping as my uterus grew. Congratulations and good luck to you!

I HAD THIS TOO FOR SOME OF MY PREGNANCY TIME. I WAS IN FABULOUS SHAPE BUT STILL GOT THIS. UNLESS THERE IS SEVERE CRAMPING OR SOME BLOOD SPOTTING LIKE BRIGHT RED BLOOD, NOT TO WORRY . IF YOU ARE OVERDOING, YOUR BODY AND BABY WILL TELL YOU. JUST LIE DOWN AND PUT SOME PILLOWS UNDER YOUR THIGHS, READ A BOOK,OR TAKE A NAP WHEN IT GETS TO BE TOO MUCH.BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR NEW BABY! I don't want to scare you, but with me I had cramping like period cramps and I never had it with my first child and I ended up having a miscariage. I know everyone is different. don't get your hopes down, but looking at it realistically I would talk to your doctor. Tell them it concerns you and they can take blood tests to check your hormone levels to see whether they go up or down.

The cramping that you are experiencing is the tendons on the uterus stretching...When I was pregnant around 7 weeks I had the same cramps and was worried that I was having a miscarriage, but It is just the tendons streching, so you have nothign to worry about!
