I'd like to find a nice clean, sun protected playground for my kids to play in.
I know of one in Signal Hill, but we are kind of sick of that one and are seeking another nearby.

Sun protection is the hard part - I am constantly on the search too. One you might want to check out is Wardlow Park in Long Beach - just off of Wardlow Rd. and Bellflower Blvd. It is a nice park with a small, enclosed play area that does have nice tree coverage for shade.

Maybe I'll see you there.

Lakewood has a really nice park. It's on South and Clark. I beleive the name of it is MAYFAIR PARK. Not quite positive on the name, but it is on those streets. I like the set up. They have a section for the younger kids that is gated and the older kids section is nice as well. I used to take my daughter there when I'd go running.

Liberty Park on Studebaker between South and Del Amo is nice. No sand (which is a plus for us moms) and lots of shade. I have four kids (four and under) and they all love it there. If your kids need a sand fix, you can take them to the middle of the walking track and there is sand on the volley ball courts. Also check out the great kids center inside. Computers, puppets and books fill a small room with a tree growing in the middle.
Have fun!
