No, I don't think so. It doesn't sound like contractions to me. It sounds more like it could be the baby kicking you sharply (which feels like someone has kicked you between the legs), but I would talk to your doctor just to make sure.

No. Its round ligament pain most likely, or just a cramp from your muscles stretching.

Sounds more like round ligament pain, which is very common in pregnancy. But it is always good to check with your doctor for things like this.

I had this same sharp pain when I was pregnant with my little one and I figured out that it was just the baby moving around and hitting a nerve. but just to be safe I would call your dr. just to double check!

It could be. But Braxton Hicks contracts aren't usually 'sharp' - it's more like a cramp you get with your period rather than a sharp pain.

How long has it been going on?

You might give your Dr a call tonight just to let them know.

No, it sounds more like round ligament pains. Round ligaments are there to hold your uterus in suspension within your abdomen. As the uterus gets bigger, the ligaments stretch and thin out like rubber bands and can be painful at times.

Very unlikely that its B-H contractions, because these "warm-up" contractions are usually felt all across the uterus. It sounds like "Round Ligament Pain," which happens when the ligaments that support the uterus are growing and stretching and adjusting to the new load of the baby. You can read more about it from a L&D nurse / future-midwife here -- http://atyourcervix.blogspot.com/2010/09/round-ligament-p...

My braxton hicks didn't hurt at all, my big round belly just got rock hard and real tight. I too had sharp pains in my pelvic area that lasted only for a split second, but never asked about them.
