Birthday Party Snacks

We are celebrating my son's birthday this coming Saturday at a Laser tag/gaming center that doesn't provide any food. I purposely planned the party to be held in the afternoon so that we didn't need to provide lunch or dinner, but I would like to have some snacks on hand to eat before we have cake. I'm looking for suggestions of snacks that are portable and yummy. Any ideas???

What can I do next?

When I have done food at parties the kids don't eat much because they are having so much fun playing but they will drink a lot. So I agree the cake, ice cream, and a drink will be plenty. Then if you do a treat bag put maybe a second snack in that like goldfish, pretzels or chips for their car ride home they will have a snack to eat since that is when they will stop playing long enough to eat.

Just a suggestion...I don't think you need snacks. I frequently have my dd's party from 2-4 so we don't have to mess with lunch. The cake and ice cream is plenty. Plus the kids are so hyped up, they barely have time to eat the cake. Popcorn is probably the best idea if you have to bring something. You should probably buy a big bag of cheesecorn and put it in little individual party bags you can get at the dollar store. Tie a bow around it and give it away as a party goodie bag at the end if you don't need it during the party.

Pretzels and grapes.
A little salty and sweet, cheap and fairly healthy!
It's my usual go-to combo :)
ETA: don't bring too much, they will hardly eat it if they are at a laser place (too much fun to be had there to stop and snack, lol!!!)

packages of goldfish crackers or something like that. nothing sweet as you have the cake. and some juice boxes or water bottles as they will be thirsty after all the running.

What about individual bags of trail mix or granola bars?
I don't think Cuties are in season anymore but we went to a birthday party for a little girl and most of the kids eating the cuties over the chips. It was a nice change.
Enjoy!

Fresh fruit on a stick:

All you will need are some Kabob sticks (long ype toothpicks) fresh berries maybe some orange slices and some melon.

Much better than anything else if serving cake. Also fresh fruit snacks crankiness and arguments once a sugary rush crashes!

I always do some sort of salty carb to fill them up fast...Annie's pretzel and cheddar bunny mix, veggie straws or something like that. Little bottles of water, then your cake/cupcakes. Have fun!
