Hi Mommies!

So recently my husband and I have begun taking serious consideration into our bad habits and our health. We decided we would like to begin making fruit/veggie smoothies but are at a stump of which one works best. There are many. I want a very good one. One I i can throw ice or flax seed in and I won't even know it was there. Any tips are greatly appreciated!! Thanks ladies!!!

What can I do next?

I have a Nutribullet and that thing pulverizes anything! I have the single serving cups that you can drink right out of and it also comes with a second blade especially for grinding up flaxseed, millet, nuts and such. I like it because the price is also great. You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $99 and also Kohls. If you get the 30% off coupon then you can get it for $70.
Cuisinart and Vitamix are great brands, but they are pricey. Magic Bullet and Nutribullet are reasonably priced and work great. I have also heard great things about the Ninja and they are not too expensive either.
Good luck!

Nutri-Bullet!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I've had one of the bigger juicers with all those parts they come with........ and it was a pain in the neck..
With the NB... you make the smoothie in the actual container that you'll be drinking out of.......... it pulverizes things just as well as my bigger juicer and the clean up is one cup and a lid!!! yippee!!
It pulverizes nuts, ice... pretty much anything.. maybe even rocks :):)
You can get it at Target cheaper than what's advertised on t.v...
check it out, if you don't like it, take it back..

We have the nuribullet too. It's not bulky, quick and easy. You can throw veggies in there too, like a juicer but it turns out pulpy which is supposedly healthier. You can get it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $80.00 with a 20% off coupon. You can sign up on their website and they'll email you one. Good luck!

We got a Cuisinart not long ago, and make smoothies in it a lot. It crushes ice, frozen fruit, at the same time. We put chia seeds in it, protein powder, and it powers right through it all and makes them very smooth. Sometimes you have to help it along, by stirring everything up in the middle, because sometimes I don't put enough liquid in it to make it mix together fast, so I stir it up to help it along. I think we paid around $100 for it at Kohls. Don't forget to look for their 30% off coupons and you could get it for a bargain!

I have had the Ninja for years. Works great and it wasn't so expensive as the others.

I, first, bought a Vitamix but cleaning it seems such a chore. So, I bought a Magic Bullet. It did not make a smooth smoothie. Perhaps, I was spoiled by the Vitamix. I washed it and put it carefully back in the box and returned it. I gave the Vitamix to my daughter, who likes it and bought a Ninja, which works well and is easier to clean because of it's shape. It also has individual containers from which you can drink the smoothie. The Vitamix doesn't.

We had a magic bullet but when that broke we bought a Cuisenart. I love it since I can make single serving sizes and drink it directly out of the mixing cup. If I am making them for my family then I use my big blender.

(I like fruit smoothies but I LOVE protein shakes. I use whey protein powder).

Vitamix, hands down. You can put ANYTHING in one of these! You can even make soups that are piping hot! I'm not kidding.

I love mine. I waited until they came to Costco for a demonstration and I bought it there because I could get a big discount. I promise you that you won't regret buying it. It will do all you want and more, and it will last and last.

A small single serve Hamilton Beach. Anything else is too big and bulky to clean and you won't use it.
Ours? It is SOOOO easy to use. Costs $15. Cleans by just running water over it. Dishwasher now and then.
Makes enough for 2-3 kids @ a time!!!

I only use fresh stuff. I feel frozen fruit or ice would be too harsh on it.
