Hello ladies!! I am having an weird issue..Don't know if it's an issue that may be a cause for concern. But, here recently I noticed that both of my arms are swollen. Sound weird? Well it feels weird, for some strange reason I woke up this morning and could not wear a shirt that I had planned on wearing because my arms were swollen. It was very tight in the arm areas only. I don't know if maybe I slept on my sides which caused my arms to swell or what the issue may be. But, I do not like how my arms look and hope that this is something small. Has anyone ever heard or had the same issue...Please give some insight!!

What can I do next?

If they are still swollen right now I would probably want to get checked out. As with every other symptom out there this could be a very minor thing or a very serious thing. I don't believe sleeping on your arm would cause it to swell.

If your arms are swelling - you were most likely bit by something or stung by something. You really should get checked out.

Are you pregnant?
What medications are you on?
DO you have allergies?
Have you changed anything?
Is any other part of your body or face swollen?
Are you have trouble breathing?

Call your advice nurse for your PCP and find out what you should do. Personally? I would go to the urgent care and get checked out.

Years ago my husband got stung by a bee on his hand and his arm (from elbow on down) swelled up like Popeye for 24 hours.
His skin was stretched tight.
Since he was having no breathing problems as just kept an eye on him and gave him some Benedryl.
If this doesn't go away in a day or so, I'd go see a doctor about it.

My right legs stays swollen all most all the time. If I woke up and both of my arms were so swollen I couldn't put my shirt on I'd have gone straight to the doc's office and demanded to see them or let me know if I should go to the ER.

Swelling on both sides of your body isn't a sting or anything else. It's a health issue, like COPD, it could be edema from heart failure, a chemical reaction that might require immediate medical help, an allergy could cause it if it was all over your body, kidney disease, liver disease, and more.

Sudden swelling that is on both sides of the body???? I'm on my way to the ER. Please go get checked as soon as possible.

Are your feet and/or face swollen as well? That is a symptom of preeclampsia during pregnancy.
I would get it checked out.

Did you get stung by anything? Do you have any medical issues that would make you swell? That is the only 2 things I could think of, for swelling. Unless you sprained or broke something.
