Hi ladies,

After my last experience I have decided to look for a new OB/GYN. I'm wondering if anyone has an OB/GYN that they have delivered with, that they would highly recommend? I was thinking of an OB through troy beaumont, since I have heard it is a great place to deliver a baby and eventually we would love to have another child, but I'm also open to other hospitals (st. johns, crittenton, etc) if the OB is that great.

Thanks so much,

L.

My sister delivered two babies with Dr. Deepthi Lingam at Troy Beaumont. She loved Dr. Lingam!

I have been really happy with Michigan Women's Health Institute in Clawson. I've never had an issue with any of the docs there, and I felt I had excellent care throughout both of my pregnancies and births (delivered at Royal Oak Beaumont).

I love my St.John doc, Nathan Wagstaff, who's part of the SJH OB-GYN practice in the professional bldg. He's super!

I delivered both my kids at St. John and LOVED it. My doctors are through Eastside Gyn/OB. They also deliver at another Grosse Pointe Hospital (can't remember which). I love Dr. Mahoney and he delived both my kids!

I've delivered both of my kids with Generations Ob/Gyn. Their office is in Birmingham (on Woodward, just north of Maple/15 mile) and they deliver out of Royal Oak Beaumont. They have 6 docs - 3 women, 3 men. Dr. Sanborn who is the head of the practice delivered my daughter and was amazing (I had a rough delivery). Because of that rough delivery, my 2nd baby was scheduled C-section and my "regular" Ob/Gyn ended up delivering him - Dr. Kathleen Huston. I was able to see all of the docs in the practice throughout my pre-natal visits (they recommend this because you never know which one will be on call when you go into labor) and I liked them all. They actually just moved into a new office last summer which is gorgeous. Their last office was a basic doctor's office but the new one is beautiful with a fireplace in the waiting room. It's in the old Alban's restaurant and the inside has been re-worked into a doctor's office. I know this shouldn't matter but it's nice to have a nice place to go during the tons of prenatal visits :)

I have been very happy w/ Somerset ObGyn in Troy. I know they work w/ Royal Oak Beaumont so I would assume they also go to Troy? I have delivered 3 babies with 2 of their Drs (Dr. Ohm & Dr. Long) and am getting ready to have my 4th! There are 6 Drs in the practice and they're all great; 3 women, 3 men. The nurses and other staff are also very friendly and fantastic. I should know, I've been there enough over the past 5 years!! I also am a HUGE fan of the Mother/Baby Care Unit, NICU, & Pediatric wings of RO Beaumont as well.

My OB is AWESOME! However, he is downriver. I delivered both my kids with him at Henry Ford Wyandotte.
