Microderabrasion will only really work if you can have mutiple sessions and not be breaking out any more b/c that just causes more scaring.I had no real resuts with it but a little smoother skin after 5 treatments and $400 later!
I have tried everything from Mary Kay to Arbonne and they help a little but not anything to oooh and awh over (I sold both and tired every line they sell). I went to the dermatoligist and did all the creams and pills and I still broke out. Adult acne is hard to get rid of for good. I did Accutain (I know it sounds harsh but I had no side effects from it and my face looks great now). My doc put me on the generic she said its better and she took that herself. I now dont break out and not oily like before...I was the queen of oily skin prior to it. I have some red spots from the acne and I use Clinques Acne Soulution Clearing Gel every night and it really has reduced some and got rid of most of my problems spots. Well I wish you luck with this and Id go to the dermatologist and not spend all the $ on the store bought products they noramlly dont work or barley do.

Hi A.,
I haven't read other responses yet.
I don't know if you've tried Arbonne's skin care & treatment product or not...but they have a great anti-aging line and acne line...the anti-aging can help with scarring. We also have an Enzyme Peel that is a treatment product in our anti-aging line. It is especially helpful for what you are talking about. The best part is you are not actually peeling a layer of skin of with it (in the literal sense). I'd be happy to get you some things to try. One thing to remember is that Arbonne is a Swiss Health & Wellness company...they take a more natural approach to taking care, reparing & preventing damage to our skin. YOu need to be patient.

I can tell you from personal experience that their skin care has repaired major sun damage to my skin. I turn 43 tomorrow and most people think I'm about 8-10 years younger. My skin looks better today than it did 10 years ago!

YOu can respond via mamasource or send me an email to ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####. My website is www.healthy4you.myarbonne.com. I'd be happy to give you samples to see what you think.
Look forward to talking with you.

I've had breakouts my entire adult life and hate it. I've never been successful with figuring out how to control it. The last couple of months I've been doing a combination of things that finally seem to be working. I'm using the acne line from Arbonne. The key to this (for me) is taking the vitamin. I've noticed when I forget to take the vitamin for several days I start to breakout. I'm also using Avon's dermabrasion product which seems to be really helping. And lastly, I put Cortizone cream on infected areas and over areas that tend to breakout most often (for me it's my chin and cheek bones). I do this before applying any moisturizer. I'm afraid to change any of these things because the combination seems to be working great. Hope this can help you in some way.

No, I probably wouldn't do microdermabrasion. That may be too harsh on your face. I have done tetracycline and it worked wonderful!! I had hormonal problems after my first child. Just make sure that you are not pregnant or planning to get pregnant while taking it. Talk to your doctor.

Tazorac! It is wonderful! My sister & I both had problems most of our lives and both uses Tazorac cream now. You have to get it from the dermatoligist. It helps with fine wrinkles and took away sun damage I had as well. I love the way my skin feels and looks using it. It just smoothes out the texture. I highly recomend it!!

I have struggled with Acne since age 24.... before kids...... I fought and fought.... went to a dermatologist and was put on an antibiotic for acne..... but as we all know antibiotics = yeast infection ..... so for many years I had beautiful skin and a truck load if Diflucan..... Well I was tired of the yeast and said to heck with it I wasnt meant to have pretty skin. Then a few years ago I had to beg and plead with the Dermatologist to let me take the Accutane treatment. He was very reluctant since I was still of pregnancy age EVEN THOUGH I have my tubes tied. FINALLY he agreed and I went thru the treatment..... VERY VERY drying in every place of your body!!! It worked very well for me... I couldnt wait to be done with it. I had to have blood work done EVERY month to insure I was not getting liver damage. soooo time goes on... I start getting the acne back but not nearly as bad as the years before. I used Arbonne even sold it for a while but it made me worse, I did Proactive after that ..... NO IMPROVEMENT at all.... by this time I'm believeing that I am never gonna have pretty skin. I decided also that my breakouts were due to stress in my life.... WELL I don't see that going away any 10 years from now. Now I use cheap ole Noxzema to wash my face and a light Neutrogena face lotion and I look better than I have in over a year. Stress level is still high because my boys continue to get older and into more trouble but my breakouts are very minimal and clear up fast.

My two cents worth... ")

Hello...yes I have had microderm. I actually work for a day spa that offers that treatment. Please visit www.koffeedayspa.com. The owner is known for her facials and you would be pleased with the results ifyou are consistant in your appointments and usage of the products. The product line that she uses is Dermalogica/Ilikie and will soon carry Sonya Dakor so you can research it before you try it.

My husband has used ProActive for his Acne and he has had success. You can get it ProActive online, in Hulen Mall, order from TV ads or magazine ads also.

I've had some acne over the years, however not a lot. I've usually gone to my Dermatologist and they've given me things for it.

I'm going to use Mary Kay's Microdermabrasion, it doesn't have a brush. I was told you have to go training to use the brush with Microdermabrasion. Mary Kay's product is less expensive than going to someone to get Microdermasbrasion. You might want to give it a try. If you need a Mary Kay representative, I can refer you to someone. Just let me know. Hope this helps.

I have actually been using Arbonne's exfoliating mask with thermal fusion and it has done amazing things to my skin. I love it! I have been using Arbonne's skin care line on a regular basis and am thrilled with the results. I won't use anything else! It doesn't contain any chemicals, mineral oils, fragrances, animal products/by-products, etc. and is all botanically-based. You can check it out on my website www.foravibrantlife.myarbonne.com.

I have had micodermabrasion for scars. It is a great useful tool to use. I would love to talk to you and give you some suggestions. I have a great person that I have used in the Denton area to get micodermabrasion, and then I started using the micodermabrasion in the Mary Kay products. I don't know if you have seen my offer of a discount in the Business Reviews. However I starting doing Mary Kay and I get to use the Micoderm all the time. It is wonderful for smoothing out the skin for acne, scars and brown spots. I feel it is great for the face. Most of my customers say that they feel an immediate change in the skin with first use. If you want to talk to me here is my phone number, I will be glad to give you some tips. ###-###-####.

You can either get micro from an aesthetician or a dermatologist. Go with the dermatologist if you want a serious treatment and it does wonders. HOWEVER, make sure you use sunscreen afterward for a long time. I developed melasma after my treatment because of the combo of weird hormone surges and sun on my fresh skin. It was a disaster.
