Any Good Suggestions to Help Nausea?

I have been so incredibly nauseous the past 5 days. The past 3 days I have barely been able to get out of bed. I have no idea what is going on. I am not vomiting. I don't have the flu. It's pretty slim I am pregnant too. I have also had a constant low grade fever and headache. I have been living on toast, Cherry 7-Up, and Tylenol the past 3 days. I just ate a salad and apple for lunch so hopefully that wasn't a mistake

I am so thankful for my husband this week, he has been wonderful with our kids...and bless his heart he has been *trying* to keep up with the house. If I am not feeling any better by Monday I will make a call into my Doctor.

So does anyone have any suggestions on how to help this darn nausea until then?

What can I do next?

We like to drink Ginger Ale because ginger is good with this.

Also, peppermint.

Good luck!

I have severe chronic nausea. One of the things that works for me is to take ground ginger and put a few shakes of it in Sprite or Ginger Ale. The ground ginger will settle your stomach. The more you can handle, the better it works. It is strong, so add it slowly til you have as much as you can tolerate. Don't drink it quickly, rather sip it. If that doesn't work, ask your doctor to call in Zolfran. Though I prefer the natural methods, this anti nausea medicine works really well and sometimes I have no choice but to use it. Dramemine II doesn't work well for me, but I do know of people who have had success using it. Headaches are a trigger for my nausea, so work to get that under control and it may relieve your upset tummy. Good luck and hope this helps.

Dramamine works really good. You can get it at Walmart something like 100 tablets for $5. It does make you tired but helps the stomach. Hope this helps.

Nux Vomica 30c 4x a day for 4 days or less once the nausea stops. Stop.

Health food stores and many pharmacies carry this product. It is one of the most common homeopathic remedies on the market.

Also if you don't find any Nux. Drink chamomile tea three full cups a day to stop feeling so sick.

You have got to go and get " Sea Bands ".

You can go and get them in the pharmacy at Wal-Mart or any other drug store.
You wear them on your wrist's.
You will be so thankful that you did.

I hope you feel better soon.

ask your husband to pick up some ginger root at the grocery store (in the produce section). Chop off a small section, peel and chop, put in a mug, cover with boiling water to make a "tea." Add a little honey and fresh lemon juice if you like, but it's not necessary. Make this several times a day if you can, and sip it throughout the day. hope you feel better soon!

Fresh strawberries always help me out alot. Ginger ale is also a good one. There is also a great product that you can get at the drugstore called Emetrol that can help.

Ginger ale, saltine crackers, a cold wash rag on the back of your neck.
Tylenol on a practically empty stomach isn't good for you. Cream of chicken or chicken noodle soup or something like that would be easier on your stomach than the roughage of salad and an apple.

I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Take good care of yourself.

Are you on any medications? this could cause nausea. Any pain? Are you able to eat? Anxiety?Acid reflux? A lot of things can cause nausea. If at any time you start to feel pain, have a fever, or are vomiting you should definetly go to the ER. If their is even the slightest thought that you could be pregnant, you should take a pregnancy test. Sometimes I find that drinking Gingerale, saltine crackers help with nausea.

5 days is a long time. Why not try an urgent care center. There are prescription medications that will help with nausea but you need to have them prescribed by a doctor who can determine the root cause.

I got sick once when I was pregnant, and from then on I kept Saltines next to my bed and ate them every morning and sometimes even in the middle of the night.

Ginger is a natural cure for nausea. I get crystallized ginger at the health food store for the kids and motion sickness. It is like a gummy candy. They also make ginger tea that helps and you can get this at the health food store.
