My son will be 2 October 5th. He loves Rice Milk its the only thing i can get him to drink milk related that isn't formula he is on Neocate Jr right now. He eats Cinnamon Roll oatmeal, Cheerios, and i just recently found out Lays are a corn chip and not Wheat so hopefully he will eat those and not be allergic to corn, haven't tried it yet. I have been getting gluten-free when i can but we live in Poplar Bluff, not a huge selection and very expensive. I found a veggie noodle where i work iand he seemed to like it so i can make homemade pasta but theres not a lot of choices between sauces he is or isnt allergic to so i usually just do chicken broth but he gets tired of it, he LOVES cheese things but cant have them and he is too young to understand why. I have a 5yr old and 3yr old and neither of them are allergic to Anything so this is whole New territory for me. We are trying to get him to eat a different veggie every night we give him some, he wont touch it. We dont have a huge selection here where we live, everything has milk, eggs, wheat, or nuts in it. But like a said little amounts of wheat are fine and 1 or 2 eggs mixed in something cooked is fine but not straight. The doctors around here are no help but what can you do?... I just keep trying and i wont give up. I just get happy every time i see him actually pigging out on something for once i get proud of him. He is constantly broke out and on top of everything his exzema is horrible but you wouldnt ever be able to tell he has these problems. He's a good happy little boy who doesnt let his health problems get him down.

What can I do next?

I'm a bit confused....is he gluten intolerent, allergic, celiacs disease? Because your Dr.'s are no help are you guessing? I'd find a new Dr, to get a better handle on things and if that means you have to travel, I suggest you do. Sounds like you need a diagnosis, as well as a new Dr., an allergist, a dermotologist, & a nutritionist. Regardless if he is a happy little boy, his issues need a diagnosis so that you can be able to help him better and not get so frustrated. Until you get a diagnosis of what is actually going on, I don't think anyone can give you advice.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Is your question about his age or about his food allergies?

My son is allergic to milk, eggs and nuts, but he is fine with wheat. Anyway, since he was a toddler (he's 5 now), he's eaten a lot of meat - chicken, hamburgers, turkey burgers, pork, turkey etc. He also likes lunch meat, like turkey, ham and salami. He eats tofu and edamame for protein as well.

He loves fruit and will eat tons of any fruit. He also likes veggies. I know your son doesn't but keep trying. Sauce was key for us - just putting teriyaki or soy sauce on something (or ketchup) and he would eat it.

We use Bertolli pasta sauce most of the time. There are several varieties that are dairy, egg and nut free.

Stick to the basics - meat, fruits, veggies, etc for his meals and you'll know he's getting a well-rounded diet. In the meantime, you can search for more snack foods that are safe for him. The brand "Enjoy Life" is 100% free of all of the top 8 allergens. You can order it through Amazon if you can't find it at a store near you.

Another suggestion...we used to use goat cheese. Whole Foods has a large selection and they will let you sample them.
