Hi moms
We signed up our son for tball through the foxvalley park district and are very disappointed. Do you know where he can go to actually play on a team this summer near the Aurora/Fox Valley area? He is a tall 4 year old and is obsessed with the sport already. The park district does not offer a league for the younger ones with real teams and games, or if they do it is during the middle of the day. Thanks for any tips.

What can I do next?

North Aurora has a 5 yr old league that allows under 5 players as long as their birthday occurs by the end of summer (Sept I think). Good Luck.

Try the Wheatland Athletic Association. I can not remember if they offer at that age but it is worth a phone call.

Check out the Plainfield Park district. Here is the description. This is what a friend of mine forwarded to me.
If you'd like to sign your kids up, go to www.plainfieldparkdistrict.com, click under registration, sign in as a guest (if you just want to look at the classes but if you want to sign up you have to register) and search section 31209 The one our kids would fit into is part A1.

There are 3 sections of this class.
Web Registration Dates 12/21/09 - 04/05/10
This is a Co-ed activity.
Open to These Ages: 3 years to under 5 years
Open to These Grades: N/A
Notes for this activity: Our T-Ball league is designed for children to play and learn at the same time. We strive for everyone involved to have a positive experience with T-Ball so that we are able to help encourage our future stars to grow and develop way beyond the T-Ball years, and have success playing baseball or softball. In our non-competitive environment, the main goal is to have fun! We will cover the fundamentals of fielding, throwing, hitting, and base-running and go over the rules of the game. This is a great league for both the beginner and the little pro. Games will be played! Everyone receives hat and shirt. Everyone must bring his or her own glove.
